I personally would never upgrade Stormtroopers with G43s;
-They already have two upgrades that alter their roles, both of them pretty good on their own as well. MP44s make them more like Panzergrenadiers but allow them to use the Assault ability; 1x panzerschreck lets them attack tanks.
-If I want G43s then I train Grenadiers, or even Panzergrenadiers.
You, your opponent or the AI upgrading them with G43s seems wasteful since it presumably locks out the other upgrades and make them super expensive Grenadiers with no panzerfaust.
From that perspective I'm not an ardent supporter of giving Stormtroopers G43s.
That said, I DO think the idea of swapping Troop Training with Storms as a matter of rush job + quick fix without looking fixing obvious issues- this issue was raised prior to going live, so Relic either doesn't pay attention or doesn't care. |
the alternative is your tank stops and rotates when you want to back out of a Fight (keep your front armor to the front.)
And that is when you actually select that particular tank to either move in reverse, or de-select it from the rest of the bunch you are trying to Attack-move |
I suppose the solution is to not engage a blob with just one Goliath but perhaps alongside other OKW units? |
You have to factor in Obersoldaten when you suggest drastic changes to how OKW infantry are used.
If anything, making a dedicated AT squad should involve them, but that also means you have to consider making them available earlier like in T3 instead of T4 and swapped with, say Walking Stuka. But that's just trying to change something in order to make another change more sensible....which means you might end up having to make further changes to make the whole thing work.
If you give Sturmpioniers AT ability then you just change the problem to Sturmpionier spam. OP's ability in reality already exists, so I'm not sure why he suggests it like Sturms don't already have 4x MP44s and one panzerschreck for Volks, and nevermind making them Stormtrooper/ Panzergrenadier ripoffs. |
IMO one way to buff Sexton is to:
-Let the UKF infantry's Coordinated Barrage ability include Sextons
-Let the Concentration Barrage commander ability include Sextons, so that if you have two Sextons and fully built base, then 3+3+5 = eleven shells on target, almost twice as many shells as you would without this commander. This would at least compensate for the long cooldown time and bad AOE.
-Let the Perimeter Overwatch commander ability include Sextons |
omg never mind, ive thought about the base arty from brits, both are in need of a buff my mistake
I thought it read "Section" as well.
I don't use this unit often and the complaints about it don't help. In my own experience it seems the design is a Sexton+ Valentine combo as optimal usage...but that obviously means the closest you can get to Sexton useful is Valentine being in the field and effectively slaved to it. |
It's funny how Relic changes shit that not needed a change. Always, for 2 years long. That's their idea of refreshing the game. Revamp a few things every now and then and consider the resulting mess a solution. |
Ostheer's Field Artillery Officer cannot pick up supply/ medical crates. Reproduce by playing as Osttruppen Doctrine and using both abilities on eachother.
This is caused by the fact that they have zero weapon slots and thus cannot pick up anything at all. This also used to happen with OKW Jaegers Light Infantry. |
Becuz it works that way - 2 shots = immobilized.
For a while. |
Maybe the AEC should perform AT snare role? Kind of like a T-70 but it's best job is critical hits on vehicles.
That might make it too obvious a choice over Bofors, though. |
