The other player sat up an ambush, planned each step of it and waited until the right moment to execute it. Its like a land mine that requires active input and it's obnoxious because it's effective?

If you've ever been in a Jagdpanzer you'd know visibility was shit. (Yeah, I know T-70 visibility was shit too, but at least the recon mode looks convincing). You'd also never "scout" with a tank destroyer.

Why not Luchs or Puma instead? Both were used in recon roles IRL.

I wonder if it's possible to perhaps instead of a dps buff (or maybe just a smaller one) it's possible to inflict a debuff on the targeted squad that reduces their own output making ambush units more durable in an ambush vs relying on raw firepower alone.


Well, if a lot of players like it imo the bonus could stay but should be significantly smaller (but across the board for all non paying ambush units). The rule of a thumb imo should be, though, that if the ambush ability (or any ability for that matter) is not reflected in the unit's price it should not be there as the cheese potential is too significant.

If you mean setting up an ambush as falchis to just move in in yellow cover and then press hold fire then yeah, it's really hard to accomplish.

Im not really wanting that either I was just quoting him since some ideas were great, like detection on light tanks and light vehicules.

Fallies are AI specailsists with a panzerfaust and cost 340mp. I dont see the big difference here.

what do exspect from a cheap squad? AI and AT specialkste with camo? comon.

fallis can only faust...and dthan must retreat. no AT specialist or something.

They can threaten a snare which is a big deal. It functions as a greater form of area denial than a shrek or zook on their own.

If AI specialist with camo have access to snare, could AT specialists with camo have access to bundle nade? I don't ask about fisrt strike AI bonus to enemy infantry adn longrange AI. Just bundle nade.

Once again, if faust is taken from Falls, then combined with the Valiant Assault nerfs there absolutely needs to be a buff to the commander to keep it usable.

Possible candidates would be: Ostwind, JU87 AT strafe, Luftwaffe field officer (command squad that can call in plane smoke, plane strafe like airborne paratroopers and heal squads)

My absolute favourite and what I would do is I would grab the Jaeger Urban assault infantry from game files, rework it a bit to have 4 kar 98s, pioneer vision, stealth but no first strike, smoke nades and set up reinforce beacons for Falls to reinforce with, you’d obviously rename the squad to something like Luftwaffe Reconnaisance Infantry.

My mistake then, didn’t realize airborne assault had the same AT strafe, I thought it was a lesser version of the Ostheer JU87 AT strafe.

I still think the other suggestions were good.

falls - roll back to last version and make them can call in 2cp

add concrete bunkers to heavy fortification (2cp)

Just replace faust on demo, like paras and CE have. IT's better fit to diversion troops neither antitank weapon.

Fallschirmjager need to lose either snares or camo.

The counter to this sort of cloaking stealth unit is light vehicles. The camo snare combination eliminates this counter.

Mines are even better. Should also allow okw player to put down mines if the Sturmpioneer dies.

If they remain cloaking, quick TTK elite anti-infantry units, they should have no anti-tank capabilitity whatsoever.

There's a good reason Paratroopers, Shock Troops, Obersoldaten, Commandos, JLI, Thompson Rangers, et cetera are completely impotent against vehicles.
