Elephant is so bad I only see it 9 out of 10 games in 2vs2.

Why do you think that?

Ele is far from useless. One of the strongest units in the game imo.

What rank are you playing at? Feel free to link your playercard.

But Kharkov doesn't have a bridge :D

Then link your player card to your profile because I and many others highly doubt that. Elephant is a good TD and there's a reason that even pros use it if they play team games.

The only issue I have with the "Elefant" is that the Ele was nerfed in its performance while the ISU-152 is allowed to wreak havoc against infantry and vehicles alike.

Ele with self-spotting is straight up OP with its Alpha damage and u see it in most 3v3 games especially on certain maps. And 4v4 of course..its nearly impossible to dislodge and get rid of in team games because its always supported has range advantage, bad map design so flanking isnt an option so ure only left with trying to deal with it with 152 (if u went that commander) or rush it like a madman and hope to god to destroy it with a bombing run or straight DPS. And then he will call in another one while u threw away 4 t-34/85s or comets...

Now isu-152 is something i never see albeit being good and in a good doctrine

ISU is much worse at killing tanks, which is valued higher. There's a trade-off to its versatility

1) As already said, AI is valued lower then AT capabilities(compare cost of 640hp medium AI specialists to medium AT specialists, you'll see a pattern there)
2) ISU has 100 less armor, which is considerable.
3) AP shells have little over HALF the penetration of elephant.
4) Ele deals more damage then ISU.

Let me remind you that Ele was nerfed for something that was always beyond ISU capabilities, 2 shotting meds.

Ele also roflstomps ISU and ISU have pretty decent chance to bounce against axis late game heavy armor.

Ele is well worth its cost for its stats and performance, even compared to ISU.

Did you know that if elephant needs to turn just the slightest amount its "OP" vision bonus is gone and it looses its target? until he is statig again tho.

Also, elephant is the only HT capable of forcing allies into what they should do everytime, its called FLANKING.

Yeah we all know jacksons break that rule, but to put things in perspective, not even panthers dare to dive IN FRONT of SU85 self spotting themselves...
Its not an OP issue, but an L2P one

They are not useless, they are too expensive for what they can do. Tiger supported by a huge army is quite good :)

To be honest, at the core it's a bad design issue. As the lack of side armor makes flanking much more difficult and dangerous than it should really be. Tanks need to dive too deep to get to the weaker armor.

75% of elephant hitbox being frontal armor part doesn't help either.

That information is simply false. PLs provide source.

Spotting scopes still provide self spotting for such a unit with huge alpha damage and u do have to dive a KT too in most cases unless u stack 85's due to the huge HP pool. This is from a teamgame perspective. The bigger problem really is the map design of 3v3's and what not because they are too small and linear with corridors allowing Ele to do what its good at while flanking isnt properly an option. Especially in maps like Rzhev or Red ball.

Also su-85 doesnt have the armor, alpha damage nor the hp of an ele so its far easier to dislodge. And yes its cheaper and stock im fully aware.
