Problem:

- No teching required
- On par with the EZ8
- Comes at 10 CP
- The abilities and units included in the whole doc are complementing each other and creating a ridiculously powerful synergy.
- Relatively cheap.


Solution:

- Increase the fuel cost and popcap a bit.
- Require the T4 building (just like the EZ8/T85).
- Remove the cons repair ability with something else,

On par with EZ8?
According to my stats, the M4C is one of the worst medium tanks out there.

In that screenshot of yours, you have been simply outplayed. You could easily screenshot any endstate of a standard game, and you'd get a similar kind of distribution of units.

Note: What did you do with your ammo? Why do you have two leIGs against a highly mobile soviet? What did you do with all your manpower?

5 shermans at 23 minute vs so much AT screams "scrub ultimate" for the axis player.

Game is not balanced around noobs.

Also M4C on pair with EZ8?

@Katitof: Let's say it's on par with the T34, it should still require teching to prevent the abuse we see in the screen cap.

If you have problem with countering squishy generalist medium tank that can't bounce anything, its your problem, not balance.

Only really superior tanks require tech.
If you want to bind this one to tech, then so should be done for ost puma, StuG-e and ost command tank together with OKW command panther.

I agree, there is room in the game that contains some call-in vehicles.
OP, try the doctrine yourself, this Sherman cannot stand vs axis AT weaponry, and, not like Ez8 , it doesn't have crew repair and 800 health. Its more like t34-76 with MG upgrade and more acceleration, but crazy fuel cost (80 vs 125 or something like that)

This is correct.
If your enemy gets 5(!) M4C in a 1v1 you did something wrong.
The M4C is by far worse than the E8. It's more a thing between a both T34 types and it sucks agains tanks, especially against the heavy ones.
In addition it's near to impossible to micro 5 tanks at the same time.
It is though God by command has withdrawn every other throne.
And God is saying 'No. These people will deal with me alone.'

This is unfortunately a L2P issue. 5 M4C's on the field means you clearly did something wrong.. :)
All posts made are about situations in 2v2's. Not a 1v1 player.

Here is a reason why it shouldn't be part of tech.

The Sherman M4C is an American lend-lease tank and not a Russian tank. So to put it in tech would be a problem if you consider the fuel cost as well. This tank is possibly the only good from this doctrine. The DShK doesn't do enough damage, fuel planes can get shot down, and the M5 half track with a Guards Assault squad is just a free half track with an okay assault team.

The only good from this unit is that it is a step up from the T-34/76 and it is not an Easy Eight.

It's fine, just because it allows a no tech build doesn't mean it should be nerfed. You have a window of opportunity before ten CPs to beat your opponent, and going no tech into M4Cs is dangerous.
The internal battery has run dry, the game can now be played. However, clock based events will no longer occur.

If you're fighting more then 2 EZ8s at a time, you're still doing something wrong.

M4C arrices LATER then any stock medium tank, there is no shock value here, unless you felt asleep and 10 minutes later woke up without AT or armor that should already be on the field.

And lets not even begin on the slight difference of DIFFERENT ARMIES.

You're comparing potatoes and airplanes.
