Keeping your units together does not mean that they all sit in the same sector and wait for the m3s to come.

You just have to make sure that there's always a second grensquad or an mg nearby so you can hold the m3 at bay.

Like a fishswarm, swimm loosely and once the predator appears bulk up.

So you need to use 2 times more mp to counter his m3?

Keep in mind he loses capping power when he gets m3s.

So do you. perhaps even more so. gustav strat is correct but on some maps it will completely destroy your ability to hold territory

How long you're going to pretend one of best players didn't shoved the replays of how to counter it up your face and keep yourself in denial?

Stop acting like an idiot. As i said before vonivan while a brilliant player knew that the m3 spam was coming. this already gives him an advantage. second part his strategy while solid is completely map dependent. semois is the ideal place for this strat as it offers plenty of green cover and the resource points are close to one another.

m3 spam is either a complete nuisance or completely broken. depending on the map.

maybe he is an idiot??? lol

well yes it is map dependent, on a map like langers, especially positioned north its very hard to deal with them. So too is minsk.

Ugh they just need to reduce the fuel cost of phase 2 by 20 and increase fuel cost for phase 3 by 20. both the problems with the maxims and the m3 are then solved without nerfing them.

They are very powerful, and the reason you dont see them spammed as much as before is because they require time to obtain, by which point the soviets have some decent counters like zis, at grenades, and guards.

2 of them are available from the start and depending on how aggressive the players the guards may pop up before the Sc even arrive.

No they are not, because no one researches the at grenade or gets a zis first. If they do that they handicap their anti infantry capacity. Where as a German player can get ac221/222 if the option was available to him and do very well against infantry, support weapons, and light vehicles.

No, just one M3 is not all that great, generally there is either another or there is a unit garrisoned inside. That is why M3 spam has a major drawback. You loose capping power because only half of your units can actually capture not counting if they are busy like the two engineer squads if they have to repair. The manpower for countering it is about equal.

You can put people in M3's and just taxi them around to cap, while force-retreating most of what you come across. If you're doing it properly, you shouldn't be losing the capping game.

Maybe some middle ground then like 10 or 15 fuel. T2 does really come awfully late imho. But there are no Non doctrinal PTRS to deal with them and the PTRS is horrid at doing so now (unless its in an M3). So yeah that could then become a problem.

If penals were able to get one ptrs or one flamer (one or the other, AI or AT) then a faster Ostheer T2 is easily in favor. In fact, i dont think that is needed! I NEVER buy AT grenades, and i have no problem spitting out an AT gun earlier. Im all in for making t2 come out earlier to counter m3. Soviets never worry about rushing for AT, yet Ostheer has to. Thats not exactly fair...

I agree to Jaigen. No one research at grenade first? Well, in such case they should do it! Adapt?! ..to enemy play style?! "Handicap their AI capacity"? Handicap their cons AI capacity it's to much said, and even if it was true, that would not be a bad thing because they will be obliged to use combined arms not just spamming cons! Why in the world everything MUST be so easy for soviets?!
Current german SC arrival is to late, letting time for M3s to ride your army hard and HANDICAP (because you like this word :P) your capping ability because you need to keep your units together unlike soviets who can spread more easily. Their capping capacity in early game is not altered, even if they use M3s. That is a wrong concept. Squads in M3s can still cap even if they are embarked, and due to M3 speed they can reach faster capping points. By the time SC arrives, the perfect counter is there: Guards. I mean, in every stage of early game germans are overpassed from the start. If they build something, soviets already have a hard counter and are one step ahead no matter what germans do. Long live the balance.

Due to how most maps are designed, you can focus around the cut-off and that way you wont lose any "capping" power at all, but refuse your opponent from getting resources.

Biggest issue i have with the M3 is that it is too fast after it has been fausted, so that it is impossible to follow up unless you get 2 fausts off after one another.

Most efficient style imo is just getting the first 60 munition into ROKS-3 flamethrowers and putting down mines everywhere, voila insta gibbin'.
