I don't think it's that weird a name after looking into it. I've gotten similar answers from asking 3 different people so.

@up
Well, yea, and now imagine what alpha testers will have to go through when alpha ends and there will be still time up until release.

I probably won't play a single game until 24th after alpha ends.
I feel you man. I don't think I can just go back to the vanilla version after it ends. How can I enjoy after playing such greatness.

Wait... once alpha ends, does that mean alpha testers will no longer be under NDA?

I just pre-ordered it.

I completely missed the alpha sign up dates as well. I largely lost most interest in COH2 by Jan 2014 and only played once in a while since then. Between then and now, I played a little Vcoh and a little Men of War:AS but that's it. I uninstalled/reinstalled the game a few times.

The Elbe day patch got me to reinstall the game again. I didn't pay much attention to WFA until the pictures and the trailers.

As of now, I don't think I have much more to add unless Relic releases another video.

The thanks must go to nearly everybody who participated in this thread :bananadance:

The Game is looking much better than its predecessor, and I think we'll have a blast

what have you done relic. WHY didnt i apply for the alpha when i had the chance. i envy you who are in it. you are to keep your sanity while i suffer the vilest form of madness...

btw huge thanks to coh2player for all that info. it kept me out of the looney bin over the last couple of days. pls dont stop

Exactly my situation,i end up checking the unit profile blog page six times a day for an update...but fuck they are still stuck at jackson..i demand one unit profile per day!

Well, I have seen this:

+5 fuel= fuel point

+14 fuel= fuel point secured by truck

----

+2 muni +1 fuel

+5 muni + 3 fuel secured by truck

-----

+4 muni= muni point

muni point secured by truck? probably lots more.

maybe in team games 2vs2,3vs3 you can try the luftwaffen supply doctrin and drop fuel for the OKW player to get faster heavys. Just an idea...

WFA has the spotlight on PCGamer's site, so that can only do wonders for bringing player base back up. I sincerely hope this revitalises the game and finally gets over that awful start with that THQ fiasco

So do we know how the OKW economy functions? Or a rough idea?

Well, you can watch relics OKW stream and see for yourself, I believe there were resources displayed for all players, so you can see how it looks like in the contrast to other armies.

From what I've seen they get less income from all sectors, but they can give some sectors a boost by placing their supply trucks a.k.a. base building.

The basic gist: You get supply trucks every so often. There are 3 buildings to make after the base building.

The supply trucks cost resources to convert into buildings.

The OKW gets only 1/3rd of the fuel and munitions on captured points. Making a building on a point gives them normal resources. The faction is fuel and munitions starved. It must defend its base far forward instead of to the rear.

But it can build 'T3-T4' quality units from every building.

On a side note, it looks to me that it's very important to quickly secure fuel and munitions points with the buildings.

So looks like every tank in the OKW arsenal is comparable to call-in units of other armies, but their real drawback is expensive inf and lack of resources.

OKW would be an OP faction if they had normal resources for everything.

Guessestimate: By the time Ostheer has 2 1/2 x Panzer IV Gs and the Soviets have 3 x T-34/76s, the OKW can get 1 panther out.

See the OKW unit preview in the news.

Basically 1/3rd fuel on normal points,2/3rd muni.
On fuel points 5 fuel instead of 7.

With trucks on a normal point standard fuel and 2 extra muni. With truck on a fuel point double fuel.(14)

Worst thing..trucks can't redeploy.

Oh puppchen AT gun has non doctrinal camoflage.

I would say the battlegroup headquarters with its flak gun for defense will become mandatory truck if OKW has to camp.

But between zis, maxim and satchel i fear soviets will steamroll OKW very quickly.

^^^

I think that puppchen is going to be pretty important. I'm guessing that its performance and cost will be lower than both Zis and Pak. Cost is probably going to be in the range of HMG/mortar but more than the 45mm AT gun (200 MP)

Its penetration is going to be around that of the panzershreck, and its range/accuracy is going to be better.

Around 3? by the time T-34s/Sherman 75s start spamming will probably be what the OKW will be needing.

Panzershreck: 180 max penetration, 120 damage. Range: 35

My guess:

Puppchen: 180 max pen, 120 damage, Range: 50
