If it gets an ambulance mode can we also get it to pick up casualties for a minor manpower return and give something similar to the German HT for casualties? Like unit model / 2. So like 10 manpower back from a con model.

I kind of feel bad for my pixel soldiers when they're crying for a medic beside a medic bunker or the HQ, but the medics simply ignore the poor guy until he bleeds out.

This was my main motivation for making medic stations in CoH1. Not free squads, but because I felt bad seeing them rolling around on the ground like that.

I just like to pretend that the invisible logistics fairies that bring us our fuel and ammo are also picking up the wounded and dead.

(1) Keep in distance, Penals M3 is actually having higher DPS than 222 (but the second clips above is actually engi M3)
(2) Charge when they retreat, free squad wipe
(3) Use overdrive a lot, it is free

I agree with Porygon. If the M3 is used well, it can keep being a pain in the ass dealing steady damage and sometimes picking off a squad, and being invaluable for flanking an MG, when it is allowed to.

If it is used correctly, its farily difficult for the german to deal with.. just like a FHT used correctly is.

But either of those units will die very quickly if you are not really really careful with it. Pretty much like COH1 jeep, it wasnt worth it unless you were a ninja with it.

Just the unit is completely unsuitable for it.

Damn you relic and all your turretless vehicles for soviets!

Anyway its more of smgs being damn too good against M3 then M3 being (that)bad.

I am the one who micro this goddamn clown car, genius.
My Soviet 1v1 rank was top 20, before the patch, even higher than my Ostheer.

Now I have to record again for those, Genius.

Getting 1 faust while sure there is nothing coming to kill the car is actually a good thing, wasting his muni and less LMG42 afterward.

and yeah that guy is a retard :P

So, it proves nothing. If your enemy is retard you can kill his su85 with scout car.
Grens in red cover stupid rushing, it explains anything.

Think of it as a median between the American Jeep and the British Bren Carrier, use it as such. A slight edge in a fight, a speed capper, weapon team harrassment, flanker, etc. Stop trying to use it like the PE Armoured Car, it's not, and it doesn't work that way.

The M3 armor was nerfed while one of it's main targets (the pioneers) damage was increased. That is what's making the M3 underperform. The video examples illustrate this clearly.

Now without pointing fingers on anyone, saying those videos are stupid is frankly a stupid thing to say. Their purpose is to isolate the unit in a favorable or unfavorable situation and test it's ability.

To think I will use it exactly the same way in the video is wrong.

M3 is one of the few viable units for soviets in the current meta. In fact I run into them in pretty much every game, along with penals and guards.
In the hands of a good player it's uncouterable without a 221.

M3 is the only early unit that is useful ATM.

M3 kitting and spotting for sniper, penals to keep grens at bay and Guards so German scout car can't move around without any fear whatsoever.

That's the only tactic I got atm that can stand up to Ostheer (early game anyway)

Forgot to say, great to get penals throgh the fences to flank MG42.

Just keep Eng close by, for constant repairs.

1 Faust won't kill it, and sniper will take its toll on grens while M3 is kitting

I was trying to play as Sovs getting stomped (standard tactics), now playing as Germans stopping, and Baba's tactic above is the only thing that gave me a run for my money. Kite well, and the M3s can be really annoying, fast teck to T3 puts an abrupt end to it.. if you get the fuel, which isnt too hard with G43s.

M3 can succeed if you play flawlessly and have sick micro.

Standard tactics wont work. So only those with very good micro and understanding of the mechanics can pull ahead of the ostheer in this patch.

As Enjoycheapbeet wrote, this is all about micro.
As an example, in coh1 jeep wasn't good unit itself. If you couldn't it micro properly I would say it was shitty. But in the hands of the best players was quite effective, f.e. at pushing away enemy units from cover.

Anyway, cost of M3 is quite reasonable, hovewer 10-15 manpower less (220, 215) would be good too.
