Have mines give munitions when swept

Just like 5-10 muni would be well worth the sweep as opposed to blowing them up by any means necessary. Could have like each individual S-mine patch give 2-3 or something etc.

Is it possible for them to get XP as well?

Always thought it would be cool if engies could get small amounts of vet from their actual job. Kills from mines, repairs, sweeping mines/cutting wire, etc

How would you apply this for something like Tellers, Light At mine for USF, or S-mines? Those are pretty unique mines :)

+1……but the whole S mine field is 16,maybe single S mine for 2ammo,and other mine swept for half ?
And maybe should make sweeper use weapon slot if swept return something?

yes but u have to spend a lot of time to clear them compared to just blowing it up.

Especially S-mine fields take AGES to remove for 1 pio squad

I think there is already enough munitions available to a player. I would rather have it give a small amount og XP, it would help sweeper squads get some veterancy.

I have no problem with anything that discourages S-Mine spamming.

Including just removing S-Mines.

I gave all these ideas back when coh2 was still in beta, now it is too late to implement such changes since the sphaghetti code would blow everything up at even attempting such thing.

Would like to have that 'abilities used' on engineers would give them a small amount of exp.

sometimes I have a pioneer at the end of the game with 80+ abilities used (repairs mainly) but didnt even get vet 1.

Anyone know if it's possible to give engineers credit for the kills/damage they do with mines? That would be super cool imo

I don't really agree with sweeping mines giving munitions, as logical as it sorta seems, because it really kind of gives off the message to players "Well, they got a minesweeper so I better not place mines any more lest I give them munitions."

Which is obviously not so simple, as long as the player manages to keep fending off the minesweeper engineer unit(s), but nonetheless feedback loops are something to consider.

So yeah, back on the sweeper unit XP idea, I'd agree that's a good way to help them get experience to compensate for their reduced combat effectiveness and the fact that have the minesweepers deal with the mines is strictly slower than bombarding the area with AoE units.
