And Conscripts are too efficient at trading early game. They also have too much customize ability and utility to just be a 240 manpower squad. So i suggest. Increase to 250 manpower and reinforcement cost increase which gets removed at t4 just like Ostheer. Yeaaa, sorry, 2 volks and a kubel aren't going to beat 4 cons. You need to do better. Jump back to quoted post29 Jun 2020, 01:41 AMClarity I think the biggest issue is the base reinforce cost being 30 mp and the LMG while strong, is 60 muni for a faction that has to pay muni for healing and tellers to help deal with light vehicles. Maybe slightly reducing the LMG's cost to 50 muni or making the starting reinforce cost 28 but removing the reduction you get with Tier 4 could prevent 5-man Grens from being even more powerful. Muni is not an argument. Every other faction spends more. In: COH2 Balance

I think that the t34/85 is a perfect example where this is done right, its a heavier specialized at version of the 76, not a straight upgrade. The shocks however are an offender, because there is no stock assault unit in soviet roster that works in a similiar fashion, and they are not flavour because of their strength But... it literally is a straight upgrade. 76 however is better suited for risky flanks and anti infantry, while 85 is better suited to tank vs tank combat. I'd go for mass soviets with partisans and have them pop on the backs of weapon teams or capping infantry, but since its 4v4, probably every single ambient building is already occupied by HMG both teams can't counter. Elite infantries are specialists in certain field, they are meant and bound to be superior to cheaper stock generalists. Weapon upgrades like SVT or PPSH or G43 are already side grades to stock options. T34-76 vs T34-85 is LITERALLY quantity vs quality, both are effective and you pick what you need more, because neither is clearly superior choice, 85 has better stats, but 76 can be used much more risky and in greater number. No, you have not, but you seem to be under the impression there is a logical reason why this cheapest mainline with no side costs and access to all support units at once should not be stomped by more expensive squads with up to twice muni invested into them and up to additional 250mp/30-50fu. If you want to play with mainline infantry spam, there are other factions for it and even a doctrine for ost. In: COH2 Gameplay

If they do not cut it the other mainline needs nerfs. The only infantry grens are supposed to stand up to are cons and that match up works perfectly fine. You will NEVER in any world where balance is a real actual thing have grens stand up to tommies or rifles with upgrades because of sheer, massive investment difference. In: COH2 Gameplay
