I dont base my strategy on luck. and the maxim is not the same as a mg42. Riflenades nades need to stay to prevent maxim spam from taking the entire map.
I dont think people want to understand that this ability is one of the few counters to maxims. removing it will greatly upset early game balance
Ok some things I think to hotfix current patch, this is not all inclusive:
1) turn G43 into reverse PPSH (long range only)
2) Increase LMG42 set up time 50% but keep damage (makes molotovs soft counter)
3) Re-scale all grenades to account for decreased infantry armor (less damage)
4) Decrease Manpower cost and build time of M3 a little bit
5) KV-8 -> make it 25% slower movement speed
6) Decrease PPSH CP by 1, increase IS-2 and T-34/85 Call in CP by 1
6) Elite Troop Commander : troop training only works on infantry and light vehciles, not tanks. Tiger Ace costs SOME amount of fuel
I understand that this patch has some issues, mainly conscripts underperforming.
But gaurds with dp's beat EVERY single INFANTRY unit in the game.
You could say that panzergrenadiers beat gaurds, but thats like saying that cons beat grens.
Penals, well i'd say penals are pretty good for 270 mp, and at close range, they actually have a decent chance againts lmg grens (primaraly because grens are very fragile)
Also, late game balance is going to get adjusted next patch, and that's all that matters.
I really hope pioneers don't get a nerf,i like the fact that pios are combat troops ( I MEAN THEY ARE PIONEERS),however combat engineers could be made cheaper or be given a 40 munitons 4x pssh upgrade.
If we can take a lesson from this patch infantry balance, then I bet T34s will easily 1v1 P4s and 2 of them will hardcounter panther, no ram used obviously.
Well, I just had a game where my g43 grens frontally won effortlessly against Maxim, no rnade used.
No cover, maxim charged in(because I was capping and he needed LOS on me).
Yep, grens are perfectly fine and balanced unit and G43 isn't overperforming at all compared to guard DPs.
