So now that UKF is a confirmed name for the confirmed single coming faction, we can bury this 'it's not the brits' hatchet for good, right?
And I can have a wet dream about getting a tortoise with HE/HVAP toggle?
You want to crush dreams of axis megalomaniacs?
Want a hammer? |
Some people just don't want to admit that Germany didn't have the best tanks during all phases of the war.
And the fact that HEAT rounds weren't everywhere during the war nor reliable, as with Katiof's point.
Along with KV-1/2s holding down entire german armored columns for days when every day mattered.
But of course, someone is going to replay to this that it didn't matter, so whatever.
I can see how some people here could be so hell bent over the superior krupp steel idea that they won't even think for a second that there was a time where KV-1 to axis armor was like pre patch KT to USF |
I know the Amis didn't fought in '41, but I think they could get an early war faction as well.
Btw; if you need testing I'm willing to help!
Desert rats would be early forces as british used american M3 Lees and Stuarts.
Ostheer is designed around 1943, it is therefore impossible to just "tweak" it to 1941 conventions without major revisions (re no longer a tweak but an overhaul).
You never really played ToW, did you?
There is a whole tech structure made for 1941 already present in game together with at least 3 doctrines balanced around that specific time period. |
Wut?
I mean the PIV HEAT
And I meant PaK38 AT gun Stiel-Granate 42 which was the HEAT for the gun at the time, which was a killer for armor, but sucked at everything else(accuracy, range, loading). |
Pak38 and HEAT
Short range, highly inaccurate and loaded from the front of the barrel oversized rifle nade.
Yea... no. |
The wording makes it look like early access/preview then "please, help us balance game the best" |
Why not give the Stormtroopers a little bit of armor so it is more appealing to go into CQC (as made evident by shocks). Personally I like mixing my squads with long and shortrange capabilities
They already have 0.75 rec acc modifier.
If you want to give them armor, you'd have to strip that first.
Moreover, there basically was a single unit in ww2 that actually used body armor, which are soviet assault engineers aka shock troops. |
Vet 2 5 man.
That would be best.
In fact, this mechanic should be expanded more imo for partisans or irregulars.
And about their repairing capabilities-outside of critical repair they could not exist, they are not useless, but they are not needed as well. |
Stuart is leagues better than the werfer- not impressive, but it does its job, if only marginally.
I'd say both barely do their job just enough to not be complete POS but thats it.
I'm having much more use out of IR HT. |
Well I surely wouldn't consider the is2 slow. Speaking from personal experience. The is2 has such good survivability partly due to its speed. Its the most maneuverable heavy tank in game. Tigers and king tigers may have blitz. But having passively higher speed and having the same or more armor is more effective than a short term speed boost.
While I'm not trying to imply that is2s need nerfs or germans need buffs. I'm merely saying speed definitely is an advantage for the is2. Quit trying to downplay it.
Its 0.3 speed difference.
Its faster, but not fast enough to guarantee that speed will save it or help it chase down anything.
Its not slow, but calling it fast isn't exactly the most accurate statement either. |
