Goodie Goodie, making a post after everyone else has had their opinions.
There appears to be the following trend of gameplay in 3v3/4v4s;
- No mid-game; nobody techs, everyone rushes heavy tanks.
- Axis Heavies being almost unassailable except with
- Artillery Spam
- Cheese strategies such as luftwaffe supply, one guy building 4x caches
Almost none of these problems exist in DOW2.
- DOW2 has FASTER power (fuel) income than COH2, AND their super-units are usually cheaper. Compare: 800/200 for a Baneblade, 760(?)/260 for a KT
Simple reason: by the time you save up for a Baneblade, you're down to 10vps.
(more complex reason: extremely powerful off-map artillery, numerous hard counters, melee units)
I feel honestly that 90% of the problems in 4v4 games can be solved by increasing the rate of VP ticking.
DoW2 also have power income scaled down for 2v2 and even more for 3v3 to prevent resource inflation and super fast teching.
Just saying. |
Correct squad spread would be more then enough. |
Easy squad wipes shouldn't be in game, unless its axis squad wipe abilities used on allies

What's funny about this statement from you Katitof, is that by far and away YOU are the biggest Allied fanboy that frequents these forums. You are the one that always spits utter bullshit about Sovs and USF. You are always the first person to jump to the defence of Allies and claim whatever anyone is saying about them is total rubbish and it's just L2P and call them Axis fanboys, yet in the same sentence you crying that OKW/OST are OP.
Maybe, if the amount of games you played equalled your post count on COH2.org, people may take you a little more seriously, but as it stands whatever you say from here on in, it just gets disregarded as you are so predictable and Allies biased.
At least I'm not that stupid to not being able to tell "strong" from "op" and actually am able to understand what people write in their posts instead of instigating my own bias on them and reading what I want instead of what is actually written as you've clearly presented here by example of you. |
KT nerf was really not needed. IS-2 can now just steamroll over it which is rather pathetic. I dont know what those guys at Relic are using for thinking but clearly is not their heads. I think they have no idea how to balance the game... They are just feeding us with PR bullshit.
The delicious axis tears are the best sign that the changes were needed and spot on.
IS-2 wasn't changed, exactly same things that countered it last patch counter it this patch, KT included. |
Not all medium tanks are TDs, not all TD's are medium tanks, but the Jadgpanzer is a Tank Destroyer build on the chassis of a medium tank.
Or do you think the Elefant and Jadgtiger aren't heavy tanks lmao.
In CoH2?
They are not, they are heavy tank destroyers, nothing more, nothing less.
I'll let someone with a patience for special patients to explain mechanical differences between tanks and tank destroyers in coh2.
You are arguing semantics for the sake of arguing or making a save to not look like an idiot after making another bs comment that was disregarded by your own post. |
I never said it wasn't a TD.
1. It's classified as a medium tank, and out of all the medium tanks in the game it's the least mobile. It has the acceleration of a Katyusha which is only .6 more than the USF ambulance lol.
I don't even need to say anything more. |

You just went full retard here.
Its have 60 range, it have no turret, it have extended sight, it shoots fast with good penetration, it can't fight infantry.
We are talking CoH2, it is a tank destroyer, not a medium tank. If you want to keep calling it medium tank, then SU-85 and StuG are one as well in CoH2. But thanks for great laugh right at the morning, now I don't need at the morning and my fiancee asks why I have burst with laughter all of sudden!
2. The mobility it gets with vet is less than what the SU-85 gets
Vet 3 JPIV: +20% rotation speed, +20% speed, -10% reload
Vet 3 SU-85: -20% reload, +20% rotation speed, +20% speed, +20% ac/de-celeration
no acceleration for the JPIV
3. see above
Still ends up being incomparably superior and 60 range non turreted TDs aren't exactly meant or even need to be mobile. |
In short terms:
1) Yes, for the most part this is what I see, but I kinda like the defending part of ost nowadays, especially not vs russia; the matchup is pretty balanced!
2) I have complained about OST - USF since the very beginning, I think the matchup is redicules! First you have to defend (forced), which is often pretty hard, then you have to play the midgame. If you haven't failed yet, then you will have the best odds for winning the match from here on. As time passes the odds will tend to fall in OSTs favors.
While we might think this is dumb, we shouldn't expect things to change, because it's relic who is boss here.
For me it's totally fine to have a "good early, weak late"-army, but why does it have to be that extreme for USF!? I hate that so much
+ I rarely save replays unless something completely bs happened or if a major play was done by my opponent or myself! (So I have no proof of that other strategy of mine)
In short, classic wehr vs USA dynamics from coh1 somewhat translated here. |
Fair enough that's what I meant. But my question is why is balance so important to you then ? I'm not trying to troll or anything I'm geniunely interested: Why does balance matter that much to you then ? I mean you might as well improve your skill level instead ?
Because when there are big issues(obers, old KT, kubeljesus, old USF LMG blob, old super heavies) then it influences everyone. I play all 4 armies, I want to have options with all of them, I don't want to be forced to certain playstyle just because others are not valid to the point of auto lose.
I'm also following closely most high level players as that helps me improve myself.
I also won't rest until units that completely have fallen out of the game(SU-76, AI partisans, irregulars, StuG to a point, brummbar to a lesser extend etc.) have a role in game and are not throw away units to feed opponent exp.
There is also the question of people spitting utter bullshit to get as much buffs as they can for their beloved single faction-I just like to gun down these people for sport, but some are too stupid to know that they are wrong even if they will get hit to the face with a brick engraved with the word itself. |
