The pintle MG actually do damage? Even so, I would count it as tank gun as well.
They do, quite considerable.
And no, it doesn't count as tank gun, it counts as small arms, because it is small arms. |
I'm not sure if you realise it, but in your rush to declare Penals UP, you actually just supported normal Riflemen not having access to the Flamethower.
I'm not sure if you realiZe it, but reading whole thread helps you understand the discussion and the point of participants.
What if flamer was moved on to RETs?
Lets ignore sprice though.
This is exactly the same issue as volk shrecks, mainline infantry is getting a weapon upgrade that only specialist should have. |
Emplacements have more health then ST shot damage, they are supposed to survive single big hit even unbraced when at full hp. |
How about making 25 pounders avaible to build by RE when tier is unlocked (max 2) for 300MP. As for damage of such arty, cut half of LeFH.
No more ammo to use, no more sight needed. Just normal, non-doc, medicore arty.
That would literally make it long range mortar, a terribly bad one.
And even more limited in use, because brits do not really swim in free mp. |
Tank with pintle MG drives closer and your solution is broken as it uses both ballistic and small arms weapon, just like many other units. |
Flamers on infantry isn't bad, Penals have had this since Day 1 and I haven't heard people complain Penals are OP for a very long time. It's New Rifle Vet + New Flames that made it over-perform.
Penals have no useful grenade, no smoke grenade, no AT grenade, no long range damage, (now)worse defensive scaling and they need to get there close and personal.
Oh and penals can't be build with vet already. |
Give it scatter and reload values of 120mm mortar.
There, fixed. Same cost, same damage, same range, same scatter, added bonus of suppression, added bonus of shorter travel time of the projectile. |
Care to elaborate on the success you've had using Royal Artillery for us then?
He doesn't play allies, so don't waste your time.
It takes a single game to realize the (im)potency of British indirect fire. |
I like the fact that nobody is playing brits on the tournament. That will wake up relic.
Sprice and Cruzzi played the entry noob stomps with them.
But none will risk it on the competitive level, especially without the croc which is pretty much single unit keeping brits in 1v1 if you somehow survive early game. Vickers being banned isn't helping either, emplacements aren't viable, brits can't break defensive line.
Pretty much everything about brit design screams "team game support", they simply can't pull their own weight in 1v1. |
In theory Royal Artillery Regiment would be a perfect choice to smash LeiG and defense walls. In practice, it fails miserably..
The 25 pounders "offmap onmap" strike from Artillery Regiment used to be good in the spammable way, it still couldn't hit the sector you aimed it at, but at least it shot full 6 per howi barrage and was cheap enough to make other arty pieces stay on guard, it wasn't counter, but it was a psyholgical pressure on the opponent being under frequent barrage.
Now that its 100 muni and just 4 shots per howi its utter garbage.
And sexton being oversized mortar on threads isn't an answer for anything |
