Is it true that a soviet mortar can't be destroyed while crewed?
I've played many games vs Leig in where I had to repair it often because the status bar of the mortar was too low. does it mean it can not be destroyed even if the bar is at 0% ?
No team weapon can be destroyed while crewed except for static arty, it applies to all armies and is a recent change mentioned in the patch notes. |
Problem is where do you stop?
Give OKW & Soviets stock AI upgrades on their mainline infantry.
Give UKF & OKW snares on their mainline infantry
Give OKW a stock HMG.
Give OKW smoke and flamers.
Give USF heavy tank.
Give UKF mobile stock indirect fire unit.
Give USF & OKW snipers.
Give Sov & USF stock units with at least 800 hp.
Vehicle crews for everyone

The point is, factions are designed with certain strength and weaknesses. Instead of asking to fill those weaknesses with units other factions have you should learn to play around those and use the tools given to you.

And if someone is really feeling like he can't play without that other armies advantage, well, you aren't married or chained to the faction you play, you can switch it. |
I guess I've never made a distinction between rocket arty and heavy howitzers.
They both functionally do the same thing of firing from far away and hitting hard. The only difference I see is that the howitzers can damage tanks too. But both still are used to counter static playstyles, just one is multirole and the other only hurts buildings and infantry.

You don't need to rely on big howis to damage tanks as we have ATGs and TDs for that, however you need some way to clear/deter/chase away mg and atg entrenched positions. |
Well, it depends what do you consider heavy arty.
If its just katy or werfer, then its not really heavy arty.
However these kind of units are needed against heavily camping players who dig in or heavily blob, without them you need to rely on doctrinal off-maps or you're gardened.
Heavy arty like the proper howitzers are not necassarity and they are doctrinal for that reason.
Units that are able to break ATG/HMG walls are needed for all factions equally, but only three of them have them. |

...umm... if this gets fixed despite the "opposition" may I request a change for the soviet bomber from tank hunters doctrine also? Same effect on OKW deployed truck.
Yes, I'm sure that offmap that is unable to kill 640hp tank will kill truck with over twice that hp

I literally just posted a replay of it happening, mate. If your going to claim things like this you need to actually post some proof.
Also 325 munitions for this is cheap as hell considering it it can cause more damage than 3 IL-2 bombing runs.

In response to asking for help on how to kill a tank...I got a 100% serious "If you need to deal with axis armor steal a pak" 
I still remember first month of CoH2 when axis fanboys screamed with 100% serious face that HMG42 have a huge disadvantage, which was the possibility of being stolen by soviet player.
That excuse came back to justify recent buff before price increase  |
