Thread: Maps that induce camping.2 May 2014, 07:39 AM Anyone who thinks CoH2 is too campy clearly has not experienced the bridge maps from CoH1. You think these maps are campy? Imagine a map with 3 crossings (2 are destructible), and with both sides getting Bunkers and Tank Traps right off the bat. Now imagine this with a faction that's literally based off building Bunkers (MG Bunkers, AT Bunkers, AA Bunkers, Howitzer Bunkers...) In: COH2 Gameplay

Kinda hard to work around as the "NKVD" theme doesn't really allow tanks or much anything. Giving it ppsh gives you the ability to rush in after a fear propaganda and actually do a lot of damage if opponent stays around. I guess we could also add guards instead of the IL-2, though to be honest guards are rather munition heavy as well and don't really fit the theme (neither does IL-2 though). Anyone got any good ideas? Well from an idea for an NKVD themed tree I had before were Internal Troops as a defensive unit. Their special property was effectiveness tied to the output of the sector they inhabit. So Internal Troops on a resource point would be rather average, and in Enemy territory they'd be pretty useless, but if you plop them on a resource point they'll protect it from flankers or generic attackers like Grenadiers. Perhaps they could use a "fortify" ability where they dig a slit trench and hop in automatically in order to get the bonus (they're supposed to be a set it and forget it unit, like a bunker only you walk it there). If you tried to use as it the STUG Gs little brother and fight tanks with it you were going to be disappointed. What E were you using? The StuG G was better at killing infantry than the E was. The E had no purpose and no reason to exist. You could literally attack-move an E at a Conscript Squad and they'll be able to cap 2-3 sectors with it following them before they actually get hurt enough to consider retreating! Source: Myself, making Conscripts snatch a Munitions point and a Territory as a StuG E followed them around shooting the entire time. Only fell back because 3 bunched up in a very small area and the E scored a jackpot hit and took out half the squad. If that hadn't happened, I could've stayed there longer. In: COH2 Gameplay

I can't use hotkeys because I use arrow keys to control my camera. I can't remap the arrow keys to be closer to the hotkeys, and I can't use the mouse for camera movement because it's inverted for some reason. I'd use autohotkey but I've heard reports that it gets detected as a hack in some other games that I frequent, and I don't want to be permanently banned from those..
