Thread: ISU 152 v Elephant12 May 2014, 00:19 AM I say make them unique instead of counterparts. Don't remove the Elefant's range, but make it require a lock down to get the full range. On the other hand, the ISU could be a heavy assault gun, like a super-Brummbär. Front armour would be nigh impenetrable by anything short of a Pak 43/Elefant, and it'll be an assault unit rather than a camping unit. In: COH2 Gameplay

Here's 2 things I found, old Sherman and Puma with their new counterparts. Sorry for the bad angle, it's hard to get a good picture of them due to the fact that their physics are FUBAR, they like to bounce in and out of the ground rapidly while reversing once you spawn them, it's difficult to get a good shot. I don't see why you play the realism card on Tank Destroyers while advocating the Super Pershing, of which there was one, be added. PS: I know there was 2, but the second never saw Combat. You also mentioned the Maus and IS-3 never saw combat. Therefor the second SP, having never seen combat, does not count. In: Lobby

They're Elite Infantry, Soviet has no General Infantry. Everyone is either a Conscript, a Crewman, an Engineer, a Penal Soldier, or an Elite Soldier. Soviet literally has no General Infantry in that way! It's as if the Red Army didn't exist until the Germans invaded, and they scrapped together a massive force of peasants to act as man-shields to stall the enemy while they trained up Snipers, Guards, and Shock Troops, then deployed them with the man-shields. And presumably due to their skill, Penals are Guards / Shocks that tried to ditch or made an unflattering remark about Stalin's mustache In: Lobby

Why US have to manage with them with units that have only 100mm armor (Jagdtiger 250mm)? If Germans can have such a beasts why US cannot? Because as others have said, the Americans weren't like the Germans or the Soviets, they didn't rely on tanks and bigger tanks to fight other tanks, they relied on light tanks for scouting, medium tanks for infantry support, and tank destroyers for tank fighting. As for my assumption (as to not disrespect Von Kluge), the Americans are going to rely on Tank Destroyers. They will function like the current Puma, light and fast, only they'll mount much more powerful weaponry. What they lack in health and armour, they'll make up for in speed and penetration, and possibly damage, like a Half-Track with a 76mm Tank Gun. And hopefully no M10. People complain about the SU-85 being in CoH2, but at least the SU-85 was still effective at what it did when it was used. The M10 was obsolete by the time we entered the war, the M18 and M36 were the best TD's we had. In: Lobby

By that logic, it would go: Infantry Troops: Soldiers that have been in the Red Army since before the War with Germany. They are well trained and armed with SVT's, which were originally slated to become the new Service Rifle until Germany invaded and Mosin production was ramped up.. Conscript Troops: Soldiers recruited during and after Barbarossa in a time of desperation. These soldiers are lesser trained and skilled, and are armed with Mosin-Nagants due to the simplicity and low cost of the rifle, which was needed to equip many new soldiers. In: Lobby

I hardly can imagine using 3 types of units to destroy just one. No you misunderstood. It's not about "3 types of units to destroy just one", it's "3 types of units that can destroy one". The 76mm HVAP shots and 90mm gun would be able to take on Panthers and Tigers as well as or better than the T-34/85. Side note, it would also be able to destroy the T-34/85, as we learned in the Korean War. In: Lobby
