Dont compare coordinated fire too much to mark target. Soviet version has a plane which spots and provides some vision. Hence name. So you can argue soviet ability is 2 in one also. |
Yes please, build orders, advice on how you play, things you aim for and any replays showing the main abilities in good use would be awesome. |
Its a good idea to use demos to make use of all the spare munis.
And in big games, dont be scared to go T3 and transition into T4.. Combination of T34s, SU85s and KV8 is brutal and something only industry can afford. |
Remember B4 needs vet to use precision, and without it is VERY innacurate.
So simply managing to decrew it every once in a while will immensley reduce its potential. Obviously this is easier to achieve than completely destroying it and can be done with infiltration units (as mentioned) or just a simple incendiary ability (plane/MHT).
Alternativley, I think the LefH is a pretty good counter, so long as you dont reveal it before you target his B4. Wait until he has just fired at your units, then rain shells on it. Almost certain to take it out with a LefH with the added bonus of keeping engies at bay.
He might rebuild it and obviously will target your LefH, but its a lottery if it will hit where as yours will return fire very efficiently, you can even use the counter battery ability.
Even if he does hit yours, you can rebuild and repeat the above process to keep it dead/out of the game indefinatley.
From a design standpoint, Soviet indirect fire is meant for battering fortified german positions and armour. Werh indirect fire is meant for countering the soviet stuff. (Hence why it tends to have less damage, more accuracy and counter barrage abilities accross the board). |
Yeah I just dont know how you can afford all those inf upgrades and later stuka strafe without a muni cache.
And if you do, it will exclude use of things like bunkers and mines. I think Werh can really be helped out by things like a MG bunker covering your cut off where its difficult to take out, and S-mines on your fuel. Both allowing your forces to concentrate a little more without being spread by harassment.

Yes but soviets dont struggle without HT reinforce. They dont need to maintain field presence like Werh. If they get pushed off they can just come again for another wave.
Also you can just have a squad constantly merging team weapons etc and retreating to reinforce, which takes slightly more micro, but costs zero fuel and carries less risk. |
+1 Esxile.
Awesome post, so good to see someone analysing the Factions differences objectively and not complaining about them. |
From another thread:
Actually, you would be suprised. Jaeger infantry is an amazingly underused doctrine. The mg42 + camo is great, and when you upgrade your 3-4 grens with g43s, you can murder infantry that get caught in your suppression field. You need to rely on Paks for AT, but thats not really a problem nowadays with the new TWP.
Additionally, a PGREN with shrecks behind your paks will deal large amounts of alpha damage to enemy armor. To top off the power of the doctrine, you get the borderline OP Stuka CAS loitering strafe to murder enemy vehicles and support teams. It can easily shave quite a bit of health from an IS2 with engine damage or pathing issues.
Im really intrigued by use of this doctrine.
Would you build a muni cache?
Why do G43s in particular murder supressed troops in comparison to LMGs?
Would you normally tech to T3? Or hold the line until T4? |
I just find it fun to mess around with less than used doctrines, adds quite a bit of replay-ability. Messing with the USF mechanised company has gotten me into top 100 USF 2v2. XD
Not to mention using purposefully more micro intensive strategies makes you a better player, I seriously encourage players to try doctrines outside of their comfort zones.
+1 to that.
I love trying to break meta, it gives you a much greater buzz and sense of achievement and often the unpredictability of a fresh strat will make a big difference. And after all, I play this game to THINK not follow a brainless meta.
I have often been thinking that the way to get the most out of Werh is to use one of the many ways to increase survivabilty of their inf. So either camo, trenches or command tank. Werh does not need Tigers to compete. |
Id say the more options to make close the pocket effective, the better.
You could use it on a deeper sector when they force your storms off and are about to reconnect. |
