General:
The armour of all fences has been increased from 3 to 7.
Bricks and posts have had their armour increased from 25 to 40 and health from 110 to 270.
If this is true how does it effect the cover gameplay?

I don't neglect a single thing about the DLC situation. I just didn't bring it up because it's apparant enough. Hell do you think I like buying DLC? I payed enough for the game in pre order, did I want to see an abundance of stuff being thrown at me for a couple of months? Nope. See here's the thing. I could sympathize with Relic's plight initially. Although incompetence is not necessarily my thing and, I feel there's plenty of that going around in Vancouver, I genuinely felt like the game was somewhat fixable if they appropriately allocated resources in order to address core issues which have been named by almost everyone here (chat rooms, input lag, etc etc etc etc). Obviously that did not happen. The rhetoric from these developers is thick on smiley faces and rose gardens but lacks substance and, to be honest, vision. Instead, we got them asking us for more money in what seems to be a cash-grab. MARK MY WORDS. They're going to patch the game and they're going to put out more dlc commanders and ask you for more money. The game will then be totally f'd, AGAIN, and the cycle will continue. Maybe Noun will tell you how awful the community has been at selling copies of coh2 because of the YouTube/Streamers again. I don't know. I can't think at that level of stupidity. The point is that this group is absolutely hopeless. People will slowly leave the game until a franchise that has endured almost a decade vanishes. In: Lobby |

Tell me how easy it is to balance a game that is out for less than a year. This is a very demanding game on all aspects. Tell me how a company that was on the verge of bancrupcy months before a game launch is supposed to rush things even more? Tell me how easy it is for all the wanted changes to be implemented? There's not going to be one magic patch that solves everything you know. I'm glad they're taking their time to come up with something decent rahter than hotfixes everytime I start the game. Why are you neglecting to even acknowledge that the main reason the game blows is because of the awful DLC initiatives that are asking us for MORE money while also asking us to "patiently wait" while they fix their game? That's the point. It's one thing to have balance issues and be working towards correcting those. Hell you could have glaring balance issues and not even attempt to address them after some time, cut your losses, and peace out. But, to ask us for more money, in some instances in order to win, when your game is in this state of disarray is shameful. In: Lobby |

I don't know what's worse, the fact that coh2 is categorized officially by steam as Pay2win or the fact that it's listed on the same page as Spiral Knights. In: COH2 Gameplay |

tl;dr version: RAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY Ok Noun, let me make a "quick clip" of content. It'll be no more than 2-3 minutes. That's good for streaming from your phone right, which will attract more viewers? I can really see the enthusiasm building when someone watches my 2-3 quick youtube clip consisting of me calling in a DLC Tiger Ace and destroying my opponents base who had been winning the entire match. I'm sure that will get people moist. Maybe I'll put it in a Vine or a .Gif with fucking Grumpy Cat looking over my opponents base like Lucifer himself. In: Lobby |
Thread: Why don't you take part in tournaments?9 Feb 2014, 19:44 PM
Since my previous post was deleted for simply saying "the game is bad." I feel as if I need to follow up with a more elaborate reply. To be fair, Noun did say he wanted simple answers. That's about as simple as I can make it. First of all I find the topic question posed by Noun to be totally ridiculous and a bit insulting. Here's my follow up question to "why don't you take part in tournaments?" - Why don't you make a better game? Instead of passive aggressive posts towards the community asking us to search our souls for the reasons why we don't participate, ask yourselves that same question. From start to finish, the way this game has been handled has simply been atrocious. To be honest, I'd be pretty ashamed if my name was attached to this after being attached to COH1. For starters, your narrative completely irked an entire country and caught heavy amounts of criticism from Russia. I have never EVER heard of that happening before - perhaps in COD with the whole "No Russian" mission. You limped into your release. Maybe that wasn't your fault specifically but the loss of THQ, the SEGA pass around, and the Steam release really hurt the game. It shows in the final product. No leaderboards/ladder/chat (if you call that abomination a chat room you need to immediately trash whatever computer programming degree you might have). There's input lag. Really? In 2013? Why? People with high end computers can barely even run the game at a high frame rate. Do I need to mention blizzards? Notice I haven't said anything about the balance. Then you asked us to pay for extra shit when your game wasn't very good to begin with. What you should have done is adjust the game to a workable and enjoyable state, and then, and only then, institute your dlc plans. Instead, you essentially broke your game and disenfranchised most of the community that took you seriously at the onset, but you made your money right? Consumers aren't stupid. It's a certain type of player that will compete in a tournament, and this game does not cater to them whatsoever. The majority of those types of players sought refuge in another game a long time ago. If you're from America you'll understand this: You can't make chicken salad out of chicken shit. In: Lobby |
