And that's the damage to wipe the squad. The amount of damage to reduce the squad to the point of retreat or unable to recrew a weapon without wiping the squad is even more pronounced a difference. Snipers are exceptions: OST sniper has 82 health, soviet sniper team members have 64 health. Only shock troops have armor, which I think is at 1.5, which I don't think deflects anything effectively. The received accuracy modifier is mainly used for infantry durability, but this only affects small arms fire. Grens have never had issues vs small arms except for when it was on the supermandos of old or 200man RE squads. In: COH2 Balance

Thread: modding tools set25 Jan 2018, 16:14 PM As far as I know the mod tools are included in the purchase of the game. You can find them in steam under "tools". ( Where private server stuff is, etc). I do not know if you purchase Western Front Armies or the British Forces alone if the tools are available, though, as Ive always had the original game. Mind you, mod tools are rather restricted. You cannot add assets like new models. In: Modding and Tools

Not so great for grens or unbolstered IS. Paratroopers can still double lmg too. The bug that allows you to double up lmg42 and lmgs is unfortunately still ingame though. In: COH2 Balance

Thread: If You Redesigned the Factions?22 Jan 2018, 15:25 PM I would be compelled to include balance changes with any thematic redesign because it'd be necessary. Still, in short: Add global upgrades. Economy and vet (old supply yard from vcoh) upgrades. Easy to fit those in thematically. Swap guards and penals thematically. Rename "Guard" commanders NKVD. (Old style penals, pre PTRS.) In terms if design, balance, and theme I think this is/was the right way to go. Adjust both WFA indirect fire woes with mortar HT in stock arsenals. Give OKW a pak and air drop ISGS (and raketens) for both WFA factions as doctrinal options. WFA factions have been victims of their original designs (and redesigns for OKW). A number of doctrinal components of all factions, mostly WFA, are more appropriate as standard stock options. In: COH2 Gameplay

Since the sniper cloaking was fixed why not revert the 222 back to 221 (anti-infantry)? No one really uses 222's to fill the lack of an AT gun because of AEC, Stuart, AA half-track, T-70 but wehr do need something to help the 4 man squads win engagements more often (without having to blob). Well the thing was is the 222 DID counter Stuarts and t70s and the like. You just needed at least two of them and you'd likely sacrifice one in the process. Hence the "444" meta. So that was consequently nerfed because it kind of worked. Putting the fuel to 30 made the 444 dives of light vehicles way too inefficient, nerfing it out of the role it was changed to. I can't remember right now if penals got ptrs and at satchels at the same time or after that. But flamethrower penals not being able to beat a vehicle rush was apparently an issue that needed solving. In: COH2 Balance
