Thread: Help with double Wermacht10 Jan 2018, 20:51 PM Scotts, and probably calliope. Since this is 2v2, your ally's faction can be a big factor too. Wehrmacht team weapons are strong but they fall like a house of cards if youve got superior arti or pull off a flank. Wehrmacht absolutely cannot keep up the pace recrewing their team weapons, but absolutely CAN keep up with reinforcing them via unupgraded halftracks effectively. So if you use calliopes, or have an ally katyusha, land mattress, or use an anti infantry skill plane loiter/etc you can often reduce a wehrmacht players army to nothing in one push. And then you can turn their army against them. In: US Forces Strategies
Thread: The 222's ability to counter snipers10 Jan 2018, 19:23 PM At 30 fuel, the 222 really can't be built in numbers. The 222 is not sniper counter. It was changed to light AT a while ago instead, and then it's fuel cost increased because penals had no real AT at the time, and Soviets had to bring out guards to troll the 444 away as it was called. In those days the 222s performance you're looking at in those clips was considered too strong for its cost. It seems we're reaching full circle in can kicking balance strats. In: COH2 Balance

There's a reason everything is about "changes" and not "fixes". It was more important that players got new toys to play with than addressing why all the old toys aren't played with. In: COH2 Bugs

This would also allow UC, M3s, and WC 51 for room to play against Ostheer while the 221 (a 222 with out the cannon) could cost less making it a good flanker on at guns and help for rapid response on enemy flanking maneuvers if un-upgraded. M20 as well, which could really use a better window. Although it's best window is against ostheer to begin with. In: COH2 Balance

Too bad that's the m8 greyhound. Now that the mod team has worked on the greyhound, the m8 is pretty locked in and any overlap with the m20 is tough beans. And the m8 could never be stock because coh1. Most solutions to CoH2 have been locked out as options because of coh1 or because they would require revisiting/reversing past decisions. One is attacking and targeting (and missing) one entity while the other is targeting all target able entities on range? When testing multiple targets were they in the same squad or separate squads standing next to each other? In: COH2 Gameplay

And guess what? They both have access to MGs, AT guns, mortars, and snipers. Look at PE and Brits - both gimicky, and hae access to NONE of the above. Oh man, so true. Even with that in mind, just the composition, accessibility, pacing and timing of everything between those vanilla factions was refined as all hell. And so important for gameplay.
