Assault grens suffer the same way penal battalions do: they are incapable of handling any vehicles. Even buffs to vet won't help that.

Assault grens getting some sort of AT would overshadow grens pretty solidly while also buffing one commander significantly.

I wonder how feasible it would be if instead of assault grens being a call-in, it was an upgrade for Grens. Add 1 man to a gren squad and replace their loadout with mp40s. (And I guess swap rifle nades for model 24s since they don't have rifles.) Keeping fausts wouldn't be a problem there.

Nonetheless, harassing territory points is not that effective unless you're cutting them off from multiple points, or at least their fuel.

Resource points being both muni and fuel, without real strategic cutoff points kind of neuters that whole strategy without good cutoff.

Cutoffs are typically lacking in most maps because they can't have too many resources available either.

Regarding Panther vs Comet, let's, first, acknowledge some hard facts:

Now, what do you propose that the Panther sacrifice so that its RoF increases? Don't you agree that the charts show it is already very powerful as it is?

Now, I don't really have a strong opinion here, but you realize that 'winning' means there's a Panther that's one shot away from death. That's a razor thin margin to maintain across an entire tank battle.

It's not that the Panther beats the Comet, it's that the Panther is neutralized by the Comet. Not to mention the Comet also solidly shuts down Ostheer T3. Given that the ratio at max range is virtually 50/50 you have to realize that either side is at a major disadvantage for being on the offensive. And I'll tell you, the Panther is the first and only stock unit that Ostheer has that has the potential to assault entrenched Brits. (And by that I mean Bofors.)

Compare the Comet and Panther all you want, but I would wager Ostheer losing a Panther is far more crippling than a Brit losing a Comet. Comets come with, and are supported by, the British faction, which is what I think is really what grinds people's gears about the Comet.

That said, I don't think the issue is with the Comet or the Panther, but the kinds of units that may or may not be supporting them.

Merge is fun on the fly and with PPSh upgrades they aren't half bad.

Otherwise they throw molotovs on MGs and AT nades on tanks with a scratch.

Since I had preordered CoH2 I haven't bought a single expansion or DLC that wasn't on sale.

Except for one. Ostruppen. And the match immediately following purchasing Ostruppen, War Spoils dropped Ostruppen.

As such, I don't think Relic is really making all that much money off of Humble Bundle Sales. The base game being around $10, and all the factions and DLC being $2-$5 would go a long way. Sixty bucks at this point should at least get you all the factions.
