Also the Thompsons are pretty strong so it's not like the current iteration of Ass Guards feel like they are UP... it's not a question of UP or OP but versatility. I'm suggesting converting this unit into an all round versatile combat unit like rifleman. Zooks for AT, thompsons for cqc and bren for ong range. And the bren is for lends lease flavor as it's very similar to dp28. In: COH2 Gameplay

Would be an interesting choice though. I wouldn't buff it all the way to 960. IMHO, a better choice would be, on top of the current beta changes being tested, buff the survivability and nerf price. Armour, hp, price and you have a true doctrinal brawler. Not panther, but with smoke canisters, radio net and other goodies, it would be a good tank, one that could replace the Jackson/sherman combo. Osts team weapon effeciency is supposed to be above soviets. Soviet team weapons are more durable and more versatile but lesser in raw output. That output DOES have to be somewhat meaningful... 25% better isn't unreasonable (especially since it USED to be 100% in the case of the mortar) You gotta leave Osts something. Otherwise what? Soviet face off in a mortar duel and simply win outright because they can spot with the flare, match DPS and outlast because of the crew? That's hardly reasonable... It is unreasonable. The soviet support weapons are less powerful but have better tactical utility. If your going to remove the flare how does one compensate for the loss of tactical utility because they are still weaker. In: COH2 Balance
