Thread: Ram + Offmap combo needs to be nerfed5 Apr 2020, 22:34 PM I'm gonna say the same thing I said months ago and I was ignored because I was not rank 1 but neither is anyone on the balance team so I'm gonna keep saying it: Ramming a full health heavy tank should not result in a stun of any kind. Put a threshold at like 90% HP. If the heavy tank is like 90% health then stun should have absolutely no effect whatsoever. This will preserve the ram and off map combo as a very viable tactic, so no big nerf, but it will allow the Axis player to avoid losing his heavy by being conservative with it and preventing it from being exposed when damaged. This will end the cheese of a t34 suddenly appearing for a suicidal sudden ram and ending a heavy instantly. This is BY FAR the best solution. In: COH2 Balance

Literally find me one source of US riflemen taking 4-6 shots from a kar98 at point blank and not dying. Literally one source.. Except mine is relevant and yours isn’t. You don’t see Conscript wielding Fantasy weapons or a T34/76 needing 7 Tigers to die. There is a degree of fidelity to historical accuracy which extends to units and their roles on the battlefield. Historically pathfinders did not have mine laying roles or equipment, those belonged to airbourne engineers which were attached to airbourne infantry divisions. Equating battlefield roles to combat realism is a baseless comparison. In: COH2 Balance

Being able to shell the building from that much more safety is always nice, gives you more flexibility in where you chose to set up to defend them too. I'd say it's more useful vs Schwerer, Pak43, LeFH, AA emplacement and maybe bunke. Best use of the HM38 in my experience is vs massive blobs where its bad scatter doesn't matter and one shell will significantly hurt almost every squad. Unlike other heavier indirect fire units, the 120 doesn't set up in an arc, meaning its free to adjust to any target it sees fit. The mortar operator has to pack up, turn, and set it up again and you can lost a lot of time doing so. It would be a nice QoL change for the unit to work as a Pack Howitzer. Yup and tbh I really liked the old LeiG cone of firing arc that let you know which targets you could engage without repositioning it which was really cool and useful.
