Less spam because generally there are only 1-2 engineer units around and they're needed for other roles too, so you'd only be able to build sandbags in vital places rather than place them everywhere your 3-4 mainline infantry squads go. It was a mistake from Relic to add sandbags to mainline infantry (Cons could've gotten away with it). However currently sandbags on mainlines are a big part of their power level and tinkering with that would cause ripple effects that would probably require quite significant adjustments to fix, so that's not really something that could be done at this point. Not every other vehicle or ability in the game can bleed a faction dry in the first 5-7 minutes of the game with no effective counter. The UC vs Ostheer matchup is quite unique in that regard. Jump back to quoted post30 May 2020, 08:58 AMmadin2 when UKF has 60 munitions to upgrade to vicker's then u have 50 mun for a teller or you did something wrong. Ostheer needs munitions for the medic bunker and for LMGs or their Grens just get annihilated by Infantry Sections. Ostheer is well known for having a very tough early game munitions economy, and planting a Teller with a small chance to kill a UC is a risk Ostheer generally just can not make. Do you even play Ostheer? In: COH2 Balance

The four man argument just doesn't hold water when grens are arguably better early game than pfuss. Those options are all highly superficial. Ostheer realistically has no munitions for Tellers in the first 0-7 minutes, the HMG 42 generally does not get to vet 1 within that time, and a properly microed Vickers UC is already extremely hard to faust as is. Ostheer as a faction are more vulnerable to all light vehicles compared to other factions, because they don't have a stock light AT vehicle, and their snare infantry is considerably less durable and more expensive to reinforce. Grens have better fausts for good reason and that's not going away. In: COH2 Balance

So the LV argument you use would be moot here. Stuart, Valentine and T-70? OKW doesn't need better snares because their snare infantry is numerous, durable and cheap and they have a T0 ATG as well as a Panzerschreck upgrade on their starting unit (even if most people don't use that). There is nothing else that makes them less vulnerable to (light) vehicles, except for their vet 3 bonus (which they won't have when facing LVs) or a P4 Command tank (which again they won't have until late game and can hardly be used as an argument). The T4 reinforcement bonus does not kick in until after they've been pummelled by Allied light vehicles either. Thread: Inconsistency vehicle snares28 May 2020, 11:16 AM Sappers snare range is 15. Grenadiers have 18, and the +7% range bulletin increases that to 19. Grens have a higher range because they are a (defensive) 4 men squad that cost 30mp per model to reinforce after having to expose themselves to enemy vehicles, and because Ostheer doesn't have a stock light AT vehicle to deal with Allied LVs.
