and it can barely win a trade with a Pz4 or Stug
Nvm thought this was about CoH2

That would be ridiculously overpowered. That would give it over 3000 DPM, way more than the Tiger and even more than the Tiger II, on a heavily armored and relatively mobile chassis.
The IS-2 is fine. It just suffers from superheavy TDs in teamgames hardcountering it on open maps. |
It feels to me like a case of overbalancing things around competitive 1v1 and not 4v4's, I'm sure the Brumbar is much more balanced in 1v1 where flanks and big dives are much easier and less risky. There's also less risk of skipping Tier 3 and going straight for tier 4 in team games when you have partners to fill in the gaps.
Given how T4 is meta in teamgames compared to 1v1s which mostly stick to T3, that is certainly not the case. Ostheer T4 is primarily balanced for teamgames. The Brummbar is a case of a unit performing at a very efficient level, at the edge of being very good to arguably overpowered, which is why it's mostly subjective and down to personal player experience under which category it ultimately falls. In my personal opinion it's very good but not overpowered, and it doesn't need any changes. |
I mean, Jackson has a target size of 24, meaning you can dive it and shoot it on the move. Brummbar, being a fu**ton larger vehicle has a TS of 22, with 260+ armour, ton of HP and not bad mobility considering how heavy/turret-less it is
The Brummbar is not a large vehicle, it's just a P4 chassis with a casemate hull. It was barely heavier than a regular P4 and even lower in height. The Jackson was both bigger and heavier. Not that these facts really matter for ingame stats.
It's a late game, expensive and specialist vehicle with short range that needs to expose itself in order to deal damage. That is why it has better durability stats than the Jackson, a highly mobile 60 range TD that can plink away from behind the lines. I have no idea why these two units are being compared, they serve completely different roles. |
Spotting scopes should not be upgrade-able on recon units.
T70 recon mode disables the gun completely. Don't know why spotting scopes have no downside...
Because they aren't stock and take up an entire commander ability slot, unlike the T-70's ability.
Their downside is only becoming active while being stationary, which isn't something you want to do with your tanks in CoH2's highly mobile gameplay. So unlike abilities like the T-70 recon mode, you can only use them defensively. And in order to be powerful (arguably overpowered but that's up for debate) on recon units (222/251) you need to get them to vet 2 and 3 first to get any additional benefits over regular vehicles, so there is a significant investment involved and you need to keep them alive. Without their veterancy sight bonus, spotting scopes offer no special benefits for recon units compared to regular vehicles.

The Pak 43 is not about surviving, like UKF emplacements, but about trading. If it manages to ambush and kill a single medium tank, you'll already have a super worthwhile trade because it's dirt cheap. Let alone anything bigger or more expensive. If it dies immediately afterwards, who cares. |
impersonating someone requires more than just changing your steam name to their own.
It requires whatever Relic wants it to require. They reserved the right to judge on a per case basis. Apparently deliberately changing your name on stream is enough. Kimbo's other activities probably didn't exactly help to give him the benefit of the doubt here either. |
Just using a name (Steam allows you) should not be a ban. That is not necessarily impersonating.
Deliberately changing your name into someone else's, especially a by now well known person's and doing it on stream, is different from coincidentally having the same (generic) name as someone else. This was a deliberate attempt at trolling/impersonation, and the code of conduct clearly states the consequences for doing that. Doing dumb stuff gets you banned. |
DISRUPTIVE BEHAVIOR
Disruptive behaviors directed towards other players or Relic staff will not be tolerated. These include, but are not limited to, perpetrating, promoting, glorifying, or advocating for anything listed below:
[...]
• Impersonation of any community member, public figure, or Relic staff member.

So no Relic does not seem like a bunch of assholes, but rather just a company that is policing their code of conduct that you agreed upon to play the game. Maybe stop trolling for once. |
additionally, brave and daring players can decide to go into snare range at the first minutes of the game with their m3a1 or UC, before any AT is available
That's actually the worst thing to do with the UC, as its stock MG has an inverted DPS profile. It deals the most damage at long range. |
