Please do some research on that stupid american film "Enemy at the gates". It is considered absolutely un-historical by almost every professional history researcher. But because it is given to vievers as some sort of "SEKRIT DOKYMENTS", also grim, dark and looks like somewhat really happend at that time. Usual folks often confuse cynical lies for true events, because they look cooler. I've already seen that someone sent BadComedian video here. Allthrough it is really sometimes overflowed with patriotic vibes and propaganda, it is still reliable. You guys should watch his videos about Mikhalkov's film "Burnt by the Sun", it is literally on the same level as "Enemy at the gates", but even better in it's stupidity, make me chuckle couple of times, while cringing. However, the Day of Victory in my country is not about remembering the truly honorous and glorious deeds of our ancestors, but more about "saber rattling", "let's do it again", filled to the brim with war propaganda. And about topic - pls no. Until there is no HtH combat in coh, there must be no unarmed squad members. Also, 7-man cons proved to be TOO EFFECTIVE beating lmg-grens while rushing them, so they getting nerfed now. In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: Ostheer in 1v15 May 2019, 07:50 AM Althrough I like pgren strats, I find lack of infantry in my army composition until 4 minutes mark really disturbing. Also, if playing not 1v1, and your opponent is not complete tryhard, then he can deal with your MG's with one simple trick - get one mortar(since he does not need that much of capping power in 2v2 or 3v3). American mortars are made just for that - smoking whole sectors. My preffered commanders are:Community Defense commander and German Infantry commander. With Infantry commander you can have solid infantry gameplay with some neat LV.(although they removed the Officer, that sucks). Usual opening into 3 grens, then slap MG on one of them, get them into 250 HT and enjoy your mobile suppresion platform. Surprisingly, that tin can is able to take at least couple of hits from any form of AT(handheld and stationary) even on the move, and if it is dugged in - even more. If experiencing problems with health preservation, then save some for veteran upgrade - medkits are free for those squads. As for Com.Defence... Cheesetruppen spam never dissapoints)0))0) However you will need to dig into captured sectors like crazy, if you want hold them until the end of match. A lot of times in the end of match i found myself struggling against hordes of аctual infantry and/or medium tanks with no MG's or AT nearby and ready. Right now saving for Osstruppen commander - it promises to be at least same amount of fun. In: Ostheer Strategies

If you overextended your veichle with no infantry support, you can at least sacrifice it and punish the opponent, or else penals/ cavrifles will simply dominate any veichle that dare to close the distance between them. More problems with fausts i see there - if you see opponent wiping out pfaust from his back, you can run over model with it, for very little damage and send them running. For grens it is extremely painfull - losing 25% of their firepower just for broken engine. In: COH2 Balance

It would be nice if the PMD-6 mines actually were built like a small minefield, like the Ost mines. That would make them more useful. Perhaps combine tank traps with the mine unlock and give them an ISU-152 to act as a mobile AT gun. If I am not mistaken( i am yet to play that commander), those PMD-6 work same way as tank hunters mines, 10 munition per piece and have same damage as one tile of wermacht mines with huge suppersion. So i think they would overpreform if changed into wermacht-esque pattern. Leave them as they are, they are fine addition. In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: The COH2 Ability Guide Mark 2.013 Apr 2019, 10:28 AM Although guide is really good, some information seems to be outdated or with no clear explanation. Pretty sure that I saw something like "rifleman smokes" and brits extra-salvaging wrecks(afaik, all wreck salvages now are just +5 fuel and +15 munis for scavengers from OKW). Also would like to suggest some sort of visual distinqtion between usual infantry-men and commisar abilities in that table. Maybe put his cap next to ability instead of rifleman figurine? In: Guides

Main thing in countering shocks - do not let them get anywhere close tou your troops. If you trying to counter it with another CQC unit,you already setting yourself into submissive position because of superior PPSHs and bodyarmor of theirs - AFAIK, no single axis unit have something like so. So, long-range potent unit it is. Luckly for you, almost all OST units are well suited for long-mid range encounters - HMG 42s, Grens with LMGs and rifle nades, rather accurate mortar and great sniper wit ability to double-shot.
