I dont think you have read the patchnotes. Have you seen the automatch and tourney data? The soviets struggle hard in the current meta... plus the faction is already crutching hard on the T70... and that just got nerfed without fixing the underlying issue with sov... Thread: T-34 rework5 Dec 2020, 17:12 PM I mean the current T-34 is balanced as ram essentially functions as an equalizer for an otherwise subpar tank... tests have confirmed that it basically doesnt compare to a p4 even when spammed soo overall its a pretty crap unit outside of the ram gimmick If ram is removed the base t34 needs a buff in compensation In: COH2 Balance

Ironically a lot of people hate both of them and by nerfing sniper they buffed tommies. i mean theres also an irrational hatred for the soviet faction and everything in it... why else would the balance team kill an already struggling faction? Let's look. the even bigger issue here is that it isnt the T-34 that makes the soviet lategame strong... id prefer the P4/sherman/T-34-85 to the T-34-76 in any lategame situation for the same reason why spamming AT guns and centaurs/ostwind isnt meta... instead what makes soviet lategame strong is the ZIS3 the SU-85 katy and vet 3 7 man cons... all these things matter alot more than the T-34... which is honestly the weakest link in the soviet lategame... also soviet lategame is strong but i doubt that its OP... id say OST lategame with VSL + DR reduction grens + brumm + P4 + panther + pak 40 + pwerf (which just ot buffed) is just as strong (or even stronger) than SOV lategame... Weird, the balance team should really address that. the katyusha just got nerfed and the panzerwerfer got a massive buff... meanwhile the landmattress is still a meme and the stuka zu fuss still dominates teamgames... only the calliOP outclasses axis rocket arty and its doctrinal... AT gun saturation on the allied side is countered by the nondoc axis rocket artillery and superior tube artillery (LefH)... as of live the allies have 2 rocket arty pieces... but if this dumbass patch is launched that allied rocket arty piece is gonna get a hefty nerf while the axis one gets a hefty buff... Nor is it hard to get a t34 to vet 1 in any case. if you think gating ram in its current state with veterancy is a good idea then youve lost it entirely... ram is too inconsistent in its current state to gate with veterancy since the ability essentially costs 300mp and 90 fuel stun a tank for 5 seconds and maybe damage the engine... its THE MOST expensive snare in the game.... Hell, both ISU commanders come with IL2 bombs that make short work of them. uhh they do have big vulnerabilities in 1v1 and 2v2 but in 4v4 the sheer amount of AOE fire by the assortment of brummbars stukas pwerfs and LEFHs plus the AT gun saturation covers those deficiencies... if youre a 4v4 regular you would know how it is harder to counter a properly supported jagd or ele in a teamgame.... another big factor here is that the allied equivalent to the LEFH... the ML20 is just shit in comparison and will lose a shootout to an LEFH almost reliably... the sexton meawhile has much shorter range and cannot be used as counterbattery and the priest isnt exactly a popular choice since not everyone is a fan of infantry doc... and ram was just removed from the game soo mentioning IL-2 isnt a decent option anymore... Thread: T-34 rework2 Dec 2020, 13:37 PM id consider the katy nerf the ram nerf and the T-70 nerfs as massive... the katy + ram basically prop up soviet 4v4 potential while the T-70 basically props up the soviet faction outside of a 3v3... well the katy is a huge prop to soviet potential in all game modes.... Thread: T-34 rework2 Dec 2020, 12:59 PM Jump back to quoted post2 Dec 2020, 12:53 PMskemshead I am talking 1v1 perspective where sov late game is extremely strong. its strong but not because of the T-34... the zis 3 SU-85 vet 3 7 man conscripts and katyusha all contribute to soviet lategame performance alot more than the T-34-76 does... making the T-34 any better wont make the soviet lategame any stronger... especially since the katyusha just received a massive nerf with the -20% reload at vet 2... not to mention the zis 3 and SU-85 nerf... besides weve seen soviet lategame potential with a proper high quality medium like a T-34-85... and it isnt exactly OP... hence buffing the T-34 to at least be as cost efficient as a P4 should be healthy to the faction overall...
