Thread: I think Scavenge Doc need rework9 Apr 2019, 09:33 AM
Swap the ostwind with a captured Soviet tank, eg t-34/76 or KV2. These were tanks captured and "scavenged" in large numbers by the Wehrmacht. Pretty sure OKW players wouldnt want to get T34s when they can have the OKW P4 from the same tech building. KV2 might be interesting but I think it would be next to useless against Allied high pen, high range TDs. In: COH2 Balance |

What people overlook is that Ost is still decent vs Soviets. Buffing Ost and keeping USF and UKF the same will just make Soviets UP. If you look at USF you just have to wonder why they deserve a MG as good as a 50 cal. You have to wonder why they get cheap weapon drops + additional squad with teching. Why does Scott need to have 400 HP? Why does Jackson be the clearly best TD in the entire game? Why does Pak Howi have as much firepower as it does right now when all the other mortars got nerfed and Leig remains weak because of unreachable vet requirements. In: COH2 Balance |

This idea that giving some slight buffs to some UP Ostheer units is going to fix anything is just flat out wrong. It doesn´t solve OKW being hard countered by UKF on many maps. It doesn´t solve the braindead USF 2v2 airborne meta. It doesn´t solve how bad Grenadiers are in late game. It doesn´t nerf completly OP USF units like the WC51, 50 cal, Jackson, Scott and Pak Howitzer. IMO the first step to improving balance would be to roll back some doctrinal stuff that USF got in the last patch. Especially 0 CP no cool down Pathfinders, WC51, cheap weapon drops in airborne doctrine and Cavalary Riflemen. In: COH2 Balance |
Thread: Why does ost puma require battle phase 2?8 Apr 2019, 08:19 AM
Honestly I think the best way to make Puma work would be to make it side tech from Tier 2 like AEC and just cost it appropriately so that going for Puma is a conscious and deliberate decision to counter T70 and the likes. This. In: COH2 Balance |

I have never seen Assault Engineers used in 2v2 since the last nerf they got. I also very very rarely see UKF emplacements so it seems weird that you highlight how Ostheer cant counter emplacements without Lefh. But maybe that´s because you mostly play 3v3 which has a different meta to 2v2. USF got a lot of non-doctrinal changes like the tech revamp and M20 buff. Maybe now that USF got a decent tech structure it would be time to tone down some of their OP units like the Pak Howie, 50 cal, Jackson, Scott and WC51. In: COH2 Balance |

All this talk about buffing Ostheer units but the obvious and easier solution would be to roll back some of the changes that were made in the commander patch in december. In: COH2 Balance |

It's Ostheer that's underperforming in every stage of the game. +1 But I am not convinced OKW is able to deal with current USF/UKF either In: COH2 Balance |

In 2v2 it´s not just an Ostheer problem even though I agree Ostheer is even worse than OKW. Soviets are fine and balanced IMO, despite the buffs to KV8, KV2, Shocks and M42s. USF just got buffed through the roof by the tech and commander changes. I agree USF was UP before the last commander patch but now they are too good. Pak Howi, 50 cal, Jackson and WC51 should not be as good as they are just compared to any comparable unit across all factions. Then there is the problematic Airborne/Recon Support meta. In high level automatch 2v2s you will see these doctrines in 80% of games and I am personally sick of it to the point of not even wanting to play either Axis faction. UKF is also too strong after getting easier access to a snare and buffed Sexton, Valentine and Crocodile. In: COH2 Balance |
