Hi, thanks for replies. Yeah the best way to avoid that would be keeping volks in the vicinity to snare the easy 8s before they can get that close. You want to keep them away from your raketens so they don't do as much damage and aren't able to flank them. Smart mine placement will also do the trick but having volks around to snare is critical against aggressive medium tank play. JP4 is ur answer to anything classified as not-heavy tank Also this. Everyone always forgets jp4s exist but they're a great unit. Again, make sure they don't get flanked like your raketens by keeping snares around. In: COH2 Gameplay |

Easy 8s' main guns aren't super good against infantry, so the raketen is actually your best bet; I would even make 2 of them instead of getting a second schreck. The bouncing you had is most likely just bad rng for you, raketens should be able to penetrate the easy 8 fairly reliably. In: COH2 Gameplay |

I'm surprised not that many people said airborne company. Other than p47s it feels pretty lackluster because of callin timing and the fact that 40% of its abilities are just more expensive versions of vanilla team weapons (which is useful but its no valiant assault or time on target (point is they take the place of more useful abilities in a commander that already has 2 callin infantry). Also despite it not being statistically significant, there is no grey area to the numbers that the tournament showed for ukf. They hardly even got picked and out of the 15 games they did get picked, they only won twice. In: COH2 Balance |

Recon support will be used way way less now that the greyhound anti vehicle is nerfed and the 222 buffed. It was literally the best doctrine with every ability being fantastic; it's about normal now. It seems like it's still one of the only doctrines that complements Lt starts really well though. In: COH2 Gameplay |

A flame or bundle grenade does not kill entire garrisons. Running into a Bofors can't always be avoided in the 3v3/4v4 corridor maps. Investing 540-560mp into indirect fire just to counter a single Bofors leaves you vulnerable to other Allied light vehicle rushes. 2 flame nades then. In teamgames they're even less of a problem as you can just use indirect fire (just like in 1v1) but to a higher magnitude since your teammates can help too. I play a lot of teamgames as axis since most of my friends prefer it and that's what we do against emplacements. I've never once felt like I wasn't able to counter them fairly easily. You don't need a ton of indirect to beat 1 bofors and if they get pits you do, but you're killing a lot more than you're paying for (and you still have it afterwards). In: COH2 Gameplay |

I really like this idea. Just for further clarity, are you proposing that it be like the current garrisoning system in live where the whole squad sits in it as a separate entity (like they do in buildings) or something like ye olde Coh1 emplacements or the okw base flak cannons?
If they are changed to work this way all it would take is smoke and a flamenade/bundled nade or just mortar barraging. It wouldn't be very hard. If you're running your infantry and light vehicles into a bofors it's frankly an l2p issue as there are many other ways to destroy it. In: COH2 Gameplay |
