Wow, thats actually a massive difference then. 3 shots aginst panthers...
Uh no, 240 X 3 = 720. Panthers w/o vet 2 have 800 HP, w/ vet 2 960 HP. Still though 4 shots is better than 5

I imagine that's just the aim time feeling long. If you have a clip of the jackson taking 10 seconds to fire after you clicked the ability i'd like to see it. I'v never experienced that before, but I don't play USF very frequently.
Depends what you need. If you get the entire duration of the ability off including the double tap at the end you can kill a vet 2 panther, given all the shots pen as well. Just for clairity sake as well, the HVAP gives +80 damage per hit as seen in the video I posted, not +40 as it says in the ability guide. That's an error and I talked to sturmpanther about it. |

All depends on when you trigger the ability. It has the ability to shoot off the 1st HVAP 2 seconds faster than the standard, but if you continuously fire without stopping through the whole ability the last HVAP will be a blank due to the timing. |

The only way you have a "12 second reload" is if you wait the full duration for the jackson to reload after shooting, and then decide to use HVAP. Which on any vehicle will increase the reload time unless it's instantly fired like on the Pershing. Otherwise, the reload time is roughly the same |

Yes I did try that, It actually is faster than shooting 2 standards in succession by about 2 seconds. Dropping the reload from ~8 seconds to ~6 if done fast enough. However as I mentioned above, although this will put out the 2nd round ~2 seconds faster, the final HVAP if shooting consistantly through the ability will be a blank. |

The end of the ability allows for an HVAP to be fired followed by a standard. That's what I'm talking about. Significantly more difficult to pull off since it cannot be done on command like the pershing, but still might come in handy. |

https://www.twitch.tv/videos/179512142 Demonstration of the M36 Jackson double tap. To use: Activate HVAP and fire through the ability without stopping. Final HVAP should go out just before ability ends. Once ability ends, jackson should reload very quickly and shoot a standard shot in quick succession if there is a valid target. WARNING: If you begin the HVAP ability to quickly after a standard shot goes out it will shift the shot cycle off slightly, making it so the final HVAP WILL NOT BE SHOT and fires a blank instead. Edit: It seems the same can be done with the M10 Wolverine, however since it has a better rate of fire it won't be perfectly timed with the ability for a double tap at the end of it. |

Right there Now aside from this picture, I watched a good portion of the replay and you had very dominant field presence throughout the early and mid game. However I think there are a few key points you seem to missunderstand about certain units and timings. For example, you got an SU76 when you could have afforded 2 T34/76s. The latter is significantly better in all aspects except the tank destroyer role. The point though is that during this point of the game your opponet didn't have armor, so you didn't need a tank destroyer. Now I beleive you got this because you wanted artillery because you saw his T4 going up. An SU85 can sight for itself and begin to attack the schwer at max range, and then you could've supported with a T34. Next point is the M4C shermans. While I do enjoy these shermans they're not nearly as cost efficient as the T34s. The main point of the M4Cs is that you don't need to tech T4 to call in the M4C, which in turn saves you the teching cost. If you already have your tech down, you can still call in M4Cs but you need to understand why you are. M4Cs have slightly better pen, significatnly better on the move accuracy debuff, and with vet insane rate of fire. All of this is in comparison to the T34/76. However the T34/76 is in contrast significantly cheaper fuel wise, which allows you to field more with less fuel, and they're still a significant threat. In: Replays |
