I feel like it's a really interesting idea but it needs some elaborate finetuning. An ammunition upgrade that actually reduces overall combat capacity is never gonna be viable. It also comes too late at 30 mun to really affect the early capping game. I feel like if the first Raid upgrade was free it could actually serve its purpose by increasing early capping speed while being a small handicap in early combat.
Have the first Tommy already upgraded maybe.. Would have to provide some late game scaling though, bonus vs cover or something |

Just so we're clear here, are you referring to the Stuka plane or the Stuka rocket arty that costs 100 fuel and only barrages with a very distinctive sound effect to let the enemy know to scatter if they can? Because if you are really choosing to compare the rocket arty that cost quite literally in the realm of allied medium tanks for cost and will delay the okws own armour by that much to a manpower only super mortar.... That's not really an apt comparison.... |
Yup. The ram change in it self isn't bad. The bad part is that the soviet now instead of having to trade a 90fu/300mp tank to be able to kill an elefant /JT now no longer have that option or any option. Something has to swing the other way or the t34 nerf will leave the soviet incapable of fighting case mate heavies. |
Why would you want to mix up ostroopens with grenadiers to begin with?
Osttroopens, even in their meme release state, were always supposed to be spammable inf which replaces grenadiers, the only difference was that both MG42\Grens came from T1 back in the day, thefore skips and rushes werent the option.
They became the problem, when ppl realised that skipping T1 pays off more in a long run, then getting it + on top of that MG42 in HQ just reinforces this, because its the single unit which objectively holds whole ost early game together.
Ostroppen in their release were NOT supposed to replace grens. Ostroppen at release could not cap points and were something like 400% worse when outside of cover. They were NEVER meant to replace grens but instead give manpower effecient defenses which ost struggled with. |
That isn't how game works. Osttruppen become usless after enemy doesn't push into them. Best thing you can do versus Osttruppen is to force them to attack you -> gg (+ hoping to fuk PnzGrens ^^)
Simply make them more special, less spam-trash. Seeing them in combo with Grens would be nice to see, instead of HMG combo.
ostroppen are supposed to be part of an army composition not the entire thing. they are there for bodies to give squishy ost some meat and give expensive men ost something that stems the bleed. they are not supposed to be pushing they are SUPPOSED to be defending. combined arms is the intended design, lack of it is the problem. |

Units shouldnt require vet to do their job. A 100 fuel rocket arty that's only good vs static targets shouldn't be rendered inert via a free skill on core infantry and certainly shouldn't require munitions for a chance at hopefully maybe inflicting manpower bleed. |
I'd love to see mediums (and premium mediums/meat shield heavies) come later to open up more room for light play. As a result of the delayed mediums however I think they would need an AI buff to ensure they still instill fear when after added time to prepare for their arrival |
i like the idea behind these changes but i think mobilize reserves should be renamed to "promotion to strelky" and grant -5% RA + 30% increased rate of fire
That would make penals nuclear. They are already nasty... With a 30% faster rof it would be unholy. |
why not just gives panthers nondoc smoke and reduce its overall armor so that way allied Mediums can have a fighting chance against panthers, but gives Panthers some protection against Tank destroyers
because allied mediums are not supposed to have a chance against panthers and TDs are the intended counter? |
