Or is this still the patch where usf have 5 man rifles by default and OST need a specific doctrine to get 5 man squads? Rifles and IS need a large investment to be able to match a lesser investment from the OKW. Cons also struggle against volks, so if all 3 allied factions are having effeciency issues against volks I'd hardly say it's because the 1 common denominator is fine and the others a troubled, especially when their current relationship with grens is good. Problem is it doesn't have range so you pretty much rely on risky all in moves to fight our opponents tanks. Just trading shots doesn't really work because you have to get close and at guns or raks will kill you. Well the reason you would build them is to reduce the risk, what with the extra hit required to kill as well as increased chance to deflect incoming shots and increased chance to pen. That's how the game works. Are you looking for an isu? That's in a different faction. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Teller mines and OHKs4 Oct 2018, 16:21 PM How is a mine that highlights itself and can be cleared by gunfire useful at all against anybody who watches their infantry? And as a tool? A satchel is cheaper, easier to use AND is on a squad that is worth the pop cap it takes up... For 160 damage less which doesn't make it less effective vs hard targets (Bunkers and sws bases take the same number of demos as satchels) Additionally for some odd reason there is a cool down on the demo, I guess so you don't spam self spotted 65mu "mines" making them ever worse against taking out structures because y oh now have to keep your garbage CE around to plant AND wait out the cooldown and then plant... The demo is hot garbage but it's well suited for the unit that bares it I guess... In: COH2 Balance

The doctrine is really good now, especially with HEAT rounds. Los and accuracy is aight, but I maintain that the brit commander should have had the arty utilizing the fancy arty they have and the OKW should have had the elite armour commander as a way to potentially gain.... I wasn't complaining about Demos versatility but pointed out why demos should not be made less visible. I read it, I was agreeing with you. For the garbage they are at literally anything at least they have utility... If soviets only also had mines which could be triggered by infantry ... That's the thing tho, triggered by infantry is a drawback. You don't need minesweeper everywhere to sweep for Soviet mines, just some of those pios that already provide recon. If you find one you pay 50mp, try that with a CE and you lose your T70. Hell I've had fleeing weapon crews detonate Soviet mines. Kill the zis and have it sweep for mines for me! Dead men no less! Thread: Soviet unit roster needs fixing 3 Oct 2018, 19:48 PM Most Soviet units aren't BAD per say, the Maxim is the B4 is and combat engies are, everything else is slightly over priced (conscripts, krautmower, possibly shocks) or even over performing (penals, su85) IMO they aren't too far off from being a well balanced faction, a bit better mp cost balancing, some muni balance in there and a relook at shotty vet bonuses would go a long way but I don't know if they need MUCH in the way of earth shaking changes In: COH2 Balance
