Thread: Idea to fix brit lack of lategame indirect fire3 Oct 2018, 02:58 AM I think the commander upgrade should have been the one okw elite armour had (Los and arty but the arty being base howis) and the OKW ELITE ARMOUR one should have been the vet gain and detection and accuracy. Maybe they mixed them up? In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Teller mines and OHKs1 Oct 2018, 15:04 PM tellers could deal 320 damage and a random crit on top of engine critical? its a buff late game but a nerf mid game. keeps em unique (although the only detonating on vehcles is already pretty strong) however it remains a buff to the stuart who can self heal, granted it would have to do it 2x now.... Thread: What is the point of the OKW Flak Half-track right now?1 Oct 2018, 14:57 PM idk.. i think the flak trak is pretty good. it cant be used offensively very easily but a smidge behind your infantry offers pretty great support. i think it functions a it in the way the maxim was supposed to vs the kinda independant, mobile flank holding terrors the others have been. Losing to Tellers sucks but I guess it's your fault not to use minesweepers since usually you can guess where the mines are. Though I wouldn't mind it damaging Stuart, T70 and AEC to 1% health and heavy engine damage. Since they are more durable than halftracks and maybe lowering muni cost a bit. its a piss poor example. a one off vs an obviously incapable opponent is not a basis for a balance discussion, nor is an RNG anomaly. i once saw a puma OHK a 5 man captain squad, puma AI too strong? why does it have 50 range and counter infantry? Maybe maxims could enjoy acc bonus when their vet1 is used... they are durable enough and vet quite fast maxim spam would never have been a serious thing if their support (conscripts) were ever actually a threat/ usable unit. even now, if you do not have a doctrine with ppshs, you are throwing the game by building more than a pair of cons, and thats more for a snare than anything. they are supposed to be supported but their support has always outperformed them. they are so garbage they are straight up replaced whenever possible. people dont sprinkle penals or guards into their lineup as a booster for their cons, they take the hit of lower output and ignore them. as long as cons are garbage you will have maxim spam or a maxim that is no good unless spammed because going t1 and 2 isnt viable when it counts and t0 offers nothing by means of making less than paired up maxims viable. people are afraid of maxim spam returning are the sam that make sure that penal spam is here to stay and that you will never see a maxim outside of a maxim spam. The .50 pins like instantly I thought? And yeah if anything that's the main advantage of the vickers is that if your MG ends up fighting another MG in a building, it will always win by miles. XD yea, the .50 cal is a great weapon (as it should be for its timing and price) but the vickers and maxim are both ineffective at their intended role but at least the vickers fills SOME role, even if its the wrong one. when i see a maxim playing against the soviet im relieved to know penals arent around and that i have free movement because the only thing its performance manages to stop is players from building them In: COH2 Balance

The other one is a weapon which kills a retreating cons squad if you are lucky. At 65 mu and self revealing it better have potential.. Also the s-mines are area denial that either force sweeper on your flank or if they power through let's you know they are there. I would put money on nearly any Soviet player being willing to trade the garbage that is a demo charge for a way to lock down flanks that also happens to be cheaper... In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Teller mines and OHKs30 Sep 2018, 19:14 PM Jump back to quoted post29 Sep 2018, 17:18 PMBeastHunter As stated before i think 320 damage for a Tellermine would just lower the use of all allied halftracks, the m20, UC and greyhound as they have 320 or less hp so its just a buff for t70 stuart or aec which i don't really understand i would rather prefer the damage lowered even more and instead changing the critical to keep the tellermine useful otherwise i would rather build riegelmines. Massive buff for the Stuart because if it's behind enemy lines it could just self repair its engine and call it a day. Ost above all IMO need the heavy mine (well, CURRENT brits could use it pretty bad, but when they get their 5 man 210mp piat armed snare machines they might not so much) simply due to the impact such vehicles can have on the small squads. Like the MG42s Supreme performance it keeps dives shallow. In: COH2 Balance

It's really annoying to put an entire burst in some squad out of cover and watch them just waltz away (or worse, run halfway through your arc and crawl the last 6 inches to flamenade range). agreed. both allied mgs suffer from this. low suppression rate compounds with longer range on axis nades to be woefully ineffective at the main reason you buy them. sadly the ukf is so fucked up that the vickers is better at clearing garrisons than it is fighting blobs and you need the UC with the vickers to make anything eat dirt...
