Does it for free? You have buy their half-track and then upgrade it, the 251 by itself is more expensive than the IRHT
What are you even arguing for at this point?
the half truck has weapon, vet, can be upgraded in other way, can reinforce and moved troops
with the upgrade it has mini map hack , FLAREs and invisibility
if u want the ir half truck to just have mini map hack nobody will use it, and just vet 1 the kubel
if u want to give it mini map hack like osther add either reinforce or timed infrared red ability (like now) with long cd so it can't be spammed |

Except it doesn't.
I'm suggesting it works EXACTLY as now, but turned on/off with a muni deficit.
Also what happens if I'm playing okw (as in not the new ostheer commander) or want to play one of the ~8 other commanders? How do I get the map hax and the sturmtiger?
Also those commanders and the irht use different mechanics

people have problem with expensive things that actually works, cause they would need to reflect their cost and be very hard to kill or very deadly, if u make the kt more expensive to reach but actually work for it's price people will complain cause they only see the unit not what u paid to reach it, so if u make something too expensive and actually perform for it's price people will complain (ex: if usf could pay 1000 fuel for a nuke that reduced all inf to 1 model and dealt 600 damage to all vehicle, even of it's balanced by the cost people will complain cause they don't see the cost just the effect)
generally there is a breaking point where u can't make a unit more expensive or people will see it as op (even if it's balanced by the cost) |

On the topic of "think like Soviet ability" I think I would rather it be a toggle, that puts a drain on munitions like Soviet self repair used to. Bring back the design of "strong abilities but strained economy"

u know the new commander for osteher does it for free ?, hell the lfh + jli commander does it with base trucks

Trucks are not side tech. You can not skip trucks. Medics and repair lads are side tech, weapon racks are side tech, bofors/ AEC are side techs.
You can't count steps of teching as side techs. That's not how it works
they are built in weapon upgrades, OKW has the most expensive tech cost of all faction, especially thanks to the minus 15 fuel they get from the start
simply put they are mandatory package (especially that -15 fuel from the start)
this is a thing since V coh (allies get side tech with the option to rush, axis get packaged deals but can't rush, and they can't skip them) |
i don't think that will fix it as people will still cry, cause u can't make a strong cost effective expensive tank, people will just say that it does not matter how much it cost it will not be fair when it's out |
Let staff handle spam issues or pm them if you think you spotted misuse that flew under the radar. Misunformation is best combatted by stats and decent discussion culture...

As I said, I think taking King Tiger away from OKW and revamping the commanders would open Pandora's Box. There's also no reason why OKW should not get a heavy tank, and the K fits the theme of expensive elite units that OKW was initially about. We just should find a way to make it both viable and balanced again
just revamping the commanders won't work, u are removing a stock unit for nothing, at least give something else |
