Assault grenades require tech since they are not available until BP1 is unlocked. Having that said and since imo PPsh and mosin do not mix well giving 6 PPsh ( and making any changes necessary to weapon) and taking up a weapon slot would an improvement. Removing hit the ground would also be an improvement. In: COH2 Balance

Now I think we are getting somewhere and we have a solid basis for a debate. I have to agree that it is difficult to get wipes with conscript (unless they have SVT/PPsh). On the other hand I have to point out the following: 1) It is also hard to get a wipe on conscripts especially once they have upgrade to 7 men. 2) Penal can get early wipe since they have great DPS on the move superior to most units of their timing 3) Soviet can get early wipes via other methods like the clown car and the T-70 later. 4) Most soviet doctrinal infatry (and the majority of commander have them) do get HE grenades and good ones. As I have said many times, I would rather have molotovs/satchel/incendiary grenades replaces by HE grenades since I consider these weapons unsuitable for mainline infatry and better utilized in more specialized infatry. Sent that Relic not me, since it is Relics who says that Arc of fire of the maxim is 90 degrees and 45 as your Opening post says. Maxim has an arc of 90. Horizontal speed 28 M2HB has the same arc of 90. Horizontal speed 24 Dshk has the worse ark of 68. Horizontal speed 38 Vicker has an ark of 120 Horizontal speed 25 HMG42 has an ark of 120. Horizontal speed 25 HMG34 has an ark of 120. Horizontal speed 25 In sort Dshk has the worse Arc but higher speed to compensate. M2HB is inferior when it comes to trucking since it has the same Acc as the maxim but the slowest speed. Vickers/HMG42/HMG34 have the wider Arc but also have slow trucking speed. In: COH2 Balance

Thread: The maxim thread27 Oct 2020, 14:22 PM Jump back to quoted post27 Oct 2020, 14:19 PMgbem The maxim is the current worst machinegun ingame by a longshot... not only does it have the worst suppression out of all the machineguns ingame but it also has one of the smallest arcs (45 degrees) suffers from a fairly subpar vet ability (compared to API at least) and suffers greatly from the deathloop... its only advantages are 6 man (which is countered by the deathloop) and -1s packing time (which is inferior to the 60 degree arc)... this awful MG also costs 260mp... while the more capable MG34 costs 250mp... when can we expect this unit to be fixed? Maxim arc is 90 not 45. In: COH2 Balance
