The thought process is: heavy tanks are OP as fuck because they constantly kill 2-3 models per shot while also having very good AT capabilities. That's why they need to be nerfed. I would still take a Tiger over a Pershing anyday because Tiger armor can actually bounce shots. It's the reason why Pershing is dogshit in teamgames nowadays. Majority of anti tank weapons penetrate the pershing extremely reliably so now you just end up repairing that thing with shitty rear echelons for way too long. And yes Pershing anti inf is better now as tradeoff, but Im sure in your tests you also noticed that the Tiger anti inf performance is still very good, it just seems no longer broken af. OKW P4 is an excellent anti inf tank but it also has enough pen and armor to engage other medium tanks if microed correctly. A Panther is horrible vs infantry but it has very high penetration and good durability so you should use it vs heavy tanks or as anti tank unit + damage sponge for other units like JP4. A Panther with JP4 backup is pretty hard to deal with In: OKW Strategies |

if the projectile speed gets increased, then how are you supposed to dodge the shots if it gets fired in the faster cone angle? A brumm always forces a retreat immediately if it hits. I would just revert the range but leave the armor so high that it can bounce AT guns and mediums reliably but so low that it gets evaporated vs tank destroyers, cuz thats how it should be In: COH2 Balance |

I think the faction itself is fine but Grand Offensive doctrine will still be a big problem in the axis meta. The combination of a Tiger that has big sight range and the ability to call down artillery as well as a fast smoke drop plane is too cheesy. Either remove the panzer commander upgrade for the Tiger or replace the smoke reconnaissance plane with just the reconnaissance plane from Close Air Support doctrine or another ability imo.
+1 The mortar HT phosphorus is useless trash now and the pakhowie is OP in teamgames. Every USF teamgame is just 1-2 pakhowies atm and its very boring In: COH2 Balance |
