You get the idea. Sooo AEC, Luchs, and Stuart all have too much HP and the T70 getting two-shotted is wrong. Yet if those other light tanks had less HP they also would get 2 shotted by AT. Do you think those other tanks deserve to be 2 shotted despite costing more? Please do explain. In: COH2 Balance

I would trade the self repair any day for 400 HP tho One trick I see a lot of higher tier players use is if they think they can't avoid the 2nd PAK shot they'll pop self repair instantly which allows you to survive a 2nd hit (since the repair puts you over the minimum HP needed). Its not quite like having 400 HP but in terms of AT Gun hits it might as well be. In: COH2 Balance

Some (if not all) of the buffs overwrite veterancy bonuses while the ability is active. Interesting... is this the case for similar abilities as well? OKW's Luftwaffles' Valiant Assault and Brit Commando's Assault comes to mind. If so it might be closer to a "feature" that prevents it from being too good when used with Vet 3 units. Either way I think the take home message is that you get the best bang for you buck using it with Vet 1-2 Units. Vet 3 Rifles get +30% Accuracy and Vet 3 Jacksons get -50% Reload and +30% Sight currently so the buffs are mostly a wash assuming they completely cancel out Veterancy buffs. Though its important to note that the "Combined Arms" Aspect of the ability is still worth mentioning - the extra vision of Infantry + the Extra range of Vehicles gives you a significant advantage in armor engagements if you can utilize the maximum range of your vehicles with your infantry as spotters. All rocket artillery isn't effective at long range and ideally you want to close distance to minimize scatter anyway so why are we complaining about this minimal nerf? (which is nothing compared to the Calliope nerf that same patch). You can't have your cake and eat it too with rocket artillery that has higher scatter at distance and also deals decent damage across that wider scatter range. This nerf happened for a very good reason - old Panzewerfer had stupid high Alpha strike damage that would wipe and suppress squads even at far distance as a result of Relic's typical overbuffing. You can't just scream 50%! 50%! nerf and act outraged at the number without any context. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Molotovs suck11 May 2016, 04:08 AM Someone clearly didn't try using Molotovs pre-flame damage revamp. Now THOSE Molotovs sucked. Even if they don't outright kill a HMG then you force it to reposition, which in the context of a larger assault can be the difference between winning and losing the engagement. If you tech them early and catch an Ostheer player trying to aggressively garrison a MG42 early on then it can be an early GG :3 In: COH2 Balance

Thread: Axis lights buff = guards doc every game10 May 2016, 13:55 PM Guards certainly help a lot if your opponent goes 444 or 666 but its not 100% every game. (I'm very partial to Guards myself, one of my fave units in game) You definitely don't need them for a single 222 or Luches. 222s still die to 2 ATG shots IIRC and mines still do the same amount of damage in the preview mod. I've had good success using Radio Intercept doctrines - soon as you see that first 222 you can tech AT grenades ahead of time and get an AT Gun. It really undercuts that initial shock value. Furthermore 444 and 666 swarms tend to traffic jam up if not microed well... ATG really shines there if placed near pathing blockers. Compared to Brits Soviets have it easy really. In: COH2 Balance
