Thread: BARs on Rangers?6 Jun 2016, 16:21 PM I almost always go Thompsons and a BAR for the the 3rd slot. The lone BAR still buffs their mid-range damage and the mid-range damage on Thompsons isn't half bad. Main reason I do this is that Thompsons are way more wipey in my experience and give you a better chance to get a wipe if your opponent's attention is elsewhere and you can close distance. It's also cheaper munitions wise. In: US Forces Strategies

Thread: Balance Preview Mod Survey Version 23 Jun 2016, 20:07 PM I found it pretty interesting that the "most controversial" list included the the Captain Bazooka change and Goliath-Emplacement Damage both of those seemed like no-brainers to me. Kinda indifferent to the "spawn from base structure" change - doesn't affect much for me aside from teleporting vehicle snares when you're trying to base dive. +1 to the OKW change though, Volks just feel so much more natural (and a lot more fun) to use with the STG upgrade. Thread: WEHR Flame - Halftrack still not balanced after 3 years3 Jun 2016, 13:50 PM I'm inclined to agree with OP while I think the unit itself is overall pretty balanced but when it comes to Garrisons its a little too good (especially when you take into account it may be getting a price reduction next patch). Due to the pack-up time of HMGs you more or less you have to evac ASAP or its a guaranteed wipe - if the squad is at less that 100% health just forget about it. It almost feels like the old OP Wasp that would just insta-delete HMGs. If you watch the Replay first burst is at 8:45 and its wiped at 8:52... for a squad at maybe 80% health that's pretty insane. You could just YOLO into PAK walls lob off a nuclear nade and then putter back in reverse with more or less impunity. +1 to Mr. Smith - all this change does it make the Churchill less unappealing. Only reason to go for Anvil next patch is to make use of the buffed Arty flares (especially if Relic gets off their ass and fixes the bugged Advanced Warning) In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: How to use the JP431 May 2016, 03:26 AM Jadame pretty much nailed it - you want to be conservative with it until you get Vet 1 and after that use the cloak and laugh as the Predator cloaking does its thing. Only thing that holds JP4 back is its terrible turn rate opening it up against flanks - never put it in a position where it can get circle strafed - always have infantry or Rakens screening it. It also has zero AI - so its usually a bad choice if you don't have enough infantry to properly screen - in those cases a PZ4 is usually a safer choice... otherwise you'll get overrun by zooked up Rifleman and the likes. No. But situationly its very very useful for Stuart rush or if you need to get an AT Gun out ASAP (faster AT Gun > 2 Bazookas often). I'll also use his Supervise ability to get my Major out faster if I have the resources for a tank right away (fun fact you can speed up your Major tech). Supervise Major -> Sherman is pretty epic.
