Thread: Using the OKW Puma18 Jun 2016, 19:45 PM Pumas are also pretty sweet with HEAT rounds from Elite Armor - that being said I think Pumas are more of a unit you get with with a specific build/strategy in mind. (Or when your facing something non-meta like multiple AEC/T70/Stuart) Otherwise they tend to be a bad investment compared to Luches (especially with the current Volk Shreks to cover you for AT as mentioned). I know RedWings is pretty fond of the Puma - you can probably dig up some of his replays where he uses it to good effect. (He'll often use it for AT in heavy StrumPio/Jeager builds from what I remember) In: Lobby

It just results in endless circular logic where the other player always has the perfect answer to your units. (Is that how this game works?) New .50 Cal helps but its still a HMG whose firing arc can still easily be avoided as long as you don't get snared near it. It won't completely erase 222's being able to counter other light vehicles and harass elsewhere. As to the mortar... it's still just a mortar. It's not like the Soviet mortar is Ostheer's kryptonite and I don't see how the USF one is any different. If your sole answer to USF was "exploit USF general inability to deal with early MG42 wall without grenades" then its more about adapting than USF being OP with new mortar. In: Lobby

Mines only doing damage to 2 squad members is pretty underwhealming! I agree that the balance preview mines felt a little underwhealming too, but imagine this: OKW mines now can damage a maximum of 2 entities of a conscript squad. Thats underwhealming to say the least. How about the following: Mines do 80 damage to 2 squad members and 79 to all else squad members. That would fix the problem. Any thoughts? Oh and lets not forget that if you take their words seriously the mine changes mean Riegel mines dont immobilize anymore. What are they then good for?! Will have to test it out for sure - Kyle isn't always the most precise in his posts so it might just be how its worded and the mines still deal less than lethal damage to other models. Keep in mind that the new mines still deal suppression as well so 2 causalities + suppression isn't a bad deal. Unfortunately it has to be that way or else Schu Mines would be OP vs. Brits. Thread: June 21st Balance update16 Jun 2016, 18:44 PM Last man dead Developer Comments: Team weapon gunners will have the lowest priority to get targeted. Players can still attack the gunner first if they manually target that entity but automatically they will always target the gunner last. We are hoping this will help with the death loops where weapon teams constantly try to man their team weapons as they retreat. Possibly stupid question... can you tell your squads to target specific models? Or do they mean gunner can still die first if you right click squad vs. autoattacking. I wish this was tested in the preview - I'm glad death loop was finally looked at but it'll be interesting to see how this'll translate to all HMG teams coupled with new grenade distance nerf while suppressed. This means that HMG will be much better blob controllers since gunners won't get sniped randomly anymore. Will definitely force you to hard counter HMGs as opposed to just blobbing into them. PS I really like how Relic picked the middle ground with Mines. PPS OKW Howitzer = YES another Sim City Counter In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Commandos overnerfed16 Jun 2016, 16:00 PM Eh, Commandos are odd to use. I think the problem is that their effectiveness (outside of being a light gammon bomb platform) is largely predicated on effective use of their camo. If you aren't using hold fire to set them for ambushes then they can be largely ineffective if you are trying to use them like Shock Troopers (they do feel rather squishy despite their .72 target size). Personally I'd be happy with a slight nerf to gammon bombs if their SMGs were a bit better - I think that would make them a lot more consistent unit to use. Either that or tweaking their Vet somewhat: Can we PLEASE change their worthless Light Smoke Grenade. In: COH2 Gameplay

It's a complete waste of munitions it has 0 lethality and only mildly suppresses (compared to the epic Ostheer Assault Support loiter). When you combine it with its delay it's not worth it at all. Definitely needs either a price decrease or some sort of buff (not that its hard to complain too much given the commander its in lol) In: Lobby

You can still see your own playercard if you click on playercard twice but I haven't found a work-around for opponents yet. Kind of annoying because I hate not knowing if I just lost to a highly ranked player or if I should hate myself for just playing poorly In: COH2 Bugs
