Thread: What do people think of Conscripts after the patch?2 Aug 2019, 15:58 PM When the last changes went through, I didn't completely understand why the upgrade went into tier 4. I mean pgrens come earlier and volks get ther stgs earlier and considering the upgrade is in tier 4, one can get obers. I just think the upgrade should be in tier 3. In: COH2 Balance

Not going go through and read it all, though. Why don't we just make the PAK a 100% clone (cost, squad size, stats, etc.) of the LeiG? Most people seem to think that the LeiG is in a balanced (or possibly slightly under powered) state, so that seems like the easiest solution. Design wise, they're already basically identical: Long range, indirect fire, can't retreat, requires non-optimal tech choices to unlocks... Really, the only difference is that the LeiG gets smoke, but that's because OKW has no non-doc smoke units. Except that the OKW variant, the LeiG, is objectively weaker, and no one ever seems to complain about it. The Leig is more just like a mortor than anything. Cloning the pack to be like the Leig would just make it a late mortor which usf already have access to at the start. Edit: so I think it should be more of a howitzer than a mortor. In: COH2 Balance

For the sniper, i suggest give him scope Enfield and move critical shot to tank hunter section. A scoped Enfield with decent pen and damage against vehicles (Well damage against lights atlease), na. The Britt sniper is fine no changes needed. I agree with the proposed changes for the infantry sections. However, do still think bolster should take a weapon slot (I know RE can only have one Bren). Thread: KW-1 needs a closer look28 Jul 2019, 16:29 PM After playing around with the kv1 for abit, I find them really hard to vet. I actually believe this is because they cannot dish out damage well at all. Yes they can take damage but seriously, they dont enough damage back. I checked their veterancy requirement and its the exact same as the normal Churchill tank and being slightly higher than the t34-85. veterancy Kv1 vet1:2080, vet2:4160, vet3:8320 Normal Chruchill vet1:2080, Vet2:4160, vet3:8320 T34-85 vet1:2020, Vet2:4040, vet3:8080 Again, I think its problem is the fact it takes forever to vet up which is mainly done through dishing out damage. Honestly weird its the same vet requirements as the Churchill. Edit: It has a slightly faster rof of 5.8-5.2 to the t34s 6.1 but yeah, its coaxial machine guns are absolute shit while the hull machine gun has more accuracy (0.4-0.47-0.54 to 0.4-0.45-0.5), only does 4 damage compared to the 76 and 85s 8. As stated, the usf halftrack has to have its rear facing the enemy to fire which can make it very vulnerable as even a burst of incendiary round can put it down as reararmour is non-existent. The canon dosnt fire as well if the halftrack isn't stationery so even a 222 can dislodge the halftrack and effectively kill it without any trouble. So no, I do not thinkt that it is a balance problem and never has been. In my experience, it has trouble shooting down aircraft. Not sure if anyone else feels the same. Edit: if it was clonned as the OKW halftrack , I think you will find it would be even more annoying. In: COH2 Balance

It was obvious to the Soviet players you had Elite Troops (G43 Storms, Stun Grenades) and that a Tiger Ace rush could be expected because you didn't build any vehicles. They had plenty of fuel to get an SU-85 by the time you called in the Ace, and would've had enough for a second one not long after. Yet they both chose to build KV-8s. They badly misplayed; doing their own thing instead of adapting to the signals and not coordinating. I'm not saying the Tiger timings are absolutely fine, I personally think they probably need a ~100s build time to ease the shock factor and put the average Tiger/Ace at 17-20min, but the timing in matches like this isn't the problem. The enemy just wasn't prepared when they could've been. A Brummbar rush would've also caused them significant problems in this scenario. Yeah, they fuked up. To be honest after 5 minutes I knew what type of people I was up against hence the rush. I guess this is a testament that elite troops is a decent commander again and how effective g43s are (especially against penals). Sure you saw the ace dancing around at the end. Unfortunately, not sure if connection some how timed out or a bug. I completely lost control of the ace and all my other units. I have to say, elite troops is a truly dope commander now with the g43s and stun grenades for pg and storm-troopers. Edit: Considering the ace abilities activated, possibly was the connection...
