Thread: Soviet General Faction Changes - New cmdr mod 5.024 Apr 2019, 15:38 PM Just thinking, Why can't they get a damage reduction buff when in cover (applying to yellow cover as well and accompanied with a rof buff)? This would further help then survive getting obliterate by artillery buffing their staying power and helping them deal more dps. In this case you can even split them into two separate tier levels. Cover buff at tier 3 and current upgrade at tier 4 or vice versa. In: COH2 Balance

Stormjäger I think there is a general consensus about T4 being too late for this. T3 seems reasonable. Personally I would love to see this ditched for a UKF rate of fire/accuracy bonus in cover. I think a in-cover bonus would seal the deal, nothing else would need to changed. In: COH2 Balance

First of all, I feel that the upgrade should come at tier 3 not 4, 4 is too late. If weapon upgrades be dammed to conscripts then I think they should get a in cover fire power or defence buff (maybe they can have a buff being within their own territory?) I get the upgrade would help new squads vet up but I still think they will still won't compete enough in late game. Edit: just read that this takes a weapon slot when they already only have one... Perhaps they could have a deffence buff being within their territory but when in cover, converts to a offensive buff allowing them to be somewhat offensive. Just a thought. Also, how the he'll would you be able to get all seven men on cover? In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Soviet buffs/adjustments17 Apr 2019, 10:27 AM While im all for cons to get a late game adjustment (and to be honest, the svts would have been the go). I realized upon trying the new commanders that the not one step back commander can be used and since other commander adjustments, hes really messed up. Im mentioning this because the hold the line defence bonus in the commander seems to permanently effect units within there territory and as soon as they crossed into neutral/enemy, turns off. Thinking if some universal defence buff to conscripts being within their own territory (as seen in the unused commander) would be ideal as this would not apply to them outside friendly territory which would help punish conscript blob advances. Just when you give Relic credit to take things slow and incremental they pull this kind of stuff. The Pack Howie nerf is also kind of strange seeing as how it's not very meta. The only reason the pack might have been neft is because of its inclusion in the para-drop having paths to allow them to reinforce on the field which if so, is no way near a good enough reason considering the neft to paths and affecting the stock pack too. The Pack is um-believably to fragile now and dosnt gain really any benefits vetting up. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Recon Support this patch16 Feb 2019, 00:21 AM While I'm quite happy with the changes, I think I&R paths cost are a tad bit too high me thinking more around 270-280mp. There combat efficiency isn't as strong as people think and there barrage while potent is nearly unaffordable due to how extreme muni intense this commander is. Also Raid is a joke.
