Fair point.
Mind you, in order to make the game more authentic, the skillzplanes should really also attack their own side! ...from the diaries of a young British infantry officer, Peter White, "With the Jocks" (page 148):
...On the morning of 30 January [1945], a visit was paid by a car load of VIPs to look at the front - the General Officer Commanding ('GOC'), Commander of the Royal Artillery, Brigadier, Commanding Officer, and the GOC's Aide de Camp. This coincided with a high-flying formation of American bombers, whose identity was just being discussed by these important people, when the planes released several bomb-loads right around them and slap though the Company and Battalion area, in a volcano sustained ripple of blasting explosions. One 500-pounder recorded a direct hit, but fortunately without casualties, on one of my section billets, making an enormous crater. This accident resulted in a further drop in our cow's milk supply, and we heard, profuse apologies from the air formation concerned to the 'brass hats', though no apology reached to our level...
I know the p47 will shoot at abandoned vehicles, even if they were yours. |
In a cast I did yesterday the allies were able to retake momentum due to plane crash.

Stuka and Panther taken out with two crashes within seconds of each other. If the OKW player was better they could have come back from it, but he wasn't, so he didn't.
I don't think plane crashes helped win in this instance, but it didn't hurt at all. Its up there with the dumbest things I have seen in this game so far. |
Depends how hipster you are.
RTS market, well, except SC2 and CoH2 is as good as dead.
Sins of a Solar Empire and Ultimate General Gettysburg are about the only other RTS games I enjoy at the moment.
Most other RTS games I have bought have been a major letdown. The best thing about Red Alert 3 was the hammy acting |
Hi all,
If I am placing an S-mine field but three of them are marked out red. Will I be charged for just the 1 S mine patch placed, or will it still charge me the full munitions for 4 patches of S-Mines? |
If you see a flak HT then you know he doesn't have a battlegroup HQ, meaning his infantry will die pretty quickly. If you went T1 you pretty much have to AT nade it to death or get guards if it is in your commander loadout.
For USF M20 mine or try for rifle grenade. Otherwise you kind of have to go captain and avoid it.
The lack of healing for the OKW player is a huge set back though, especially if he techs to T4 afterwards. |
I actually watched a game last night with a hilariously bad take on this strategy. Essentially 5 osttruppen squads formed in a small area around a bunker on Semoskiy's left side. The OH player constantly replaced losses without moving his massive Osttruppen blob, and he eventually bled himself to defeat...on Osttruppen. |
Here you go!
It is easy to see in hindsight but you definitely made some mistakes, particularly failing to keep up any kind of pressure through indirect fire. This pretty much gave the OKW player infinite time to do whatever he wanted.
Also, you left your tanks too exposed in the end!
It was an enjoyable cast however. Hope it finds some use for you.

Here you go. Not the most interesting game tactically but it had some fun moments. |
More frustrating is the silly signboard.Completely invalidates the purpose of strategic mine surprises.
I always thought it was nice of Germans to put signs up. But I think most people rarely see them, and they work well to deter harassment because those orders are usually done through the tactical map. |
I thought it seemed strange to release no achievements with WFA... |
