Steam has multiple different ban hammers that it uses to hit people's account, but they usually reserve heavy ones for piracy or actual hacking. As far as I know, they don't have VAC for COH2 so I doubt anyone was permanently banned.
IIRC, the "ban wave" a year ago just reset the stats of all of the cheaters. I haven't seen any of those players since then but there's been a lot of other people who stopped playing the game about that time. |
that makes no sense, Its not a replay, I'm talking about, its consistently losing against OKW, I cant deal with the faction as Soviets
Are you trolling? Soviets are why I don't play 1v1 as OKW right now. Penal spam into 1-2 Guards followed by T70. Wide-open maps aren't so bad but all of the new city maps with sight blockers make this match-up suck. |
I guess he is not joking. He just experienced playing against somebody who knows how to use raketens. They are very effective once a players stops to subbornly use them as if they were paks.
Screening with infantry is a good advice, but I would also recommend using air scouts. They reveal all camouflaged units including snipers and raketens. Apart from that doing what you do is also a good idea - if you can force your opponent into building at least 2 raketens without commiting too much to armour yourself, you often will beat him with pure infantry advantage.
This.
I've played against people who could use them, but every time I use them, they seem like they're not very good, particularly against UKF.
Screening with infantry and air scouting do a pretty good job of nullifying them, particularly with their short range. |
Always a good feeling when UKF abusers get rekt, even if its a bunch of low rank retards
Yup - I don't often post replays of wins but this was interesting only because of the huge amount of cheese. The went from a shit ton of emplacements to piat blobs to land mattresses to Comets plus Arty cover, and still managed to throw the game. |
I agree with the people that think the game should be balanced around 1v1. If done okay, the other game modes shouldn't be too unbalanced.
USF's late game would get better if it had the same ability like OKW, meaning that if you had all three officers that you could call in a Pershing. I don't think that would affect 1's because if someone has that much fuel in a 1v1 then they were probably going to win anyway. Other possible solutions would be to fix the commanders (P47's cost way too much, and are much less effective than the stuka loiter, airdropped combat group is a joke, mechanized is good only in 1's, etc). Russians would need a lot of work because they're overperforming in 1's and underperforming in everything else. |
6 emplacements by the 6 minute mark: check
3x land mattress barrages: check
6-8 Comets in one battle, backed by Fireflys, ISU, and SU85: check
2x Artillery cover: double check, makes me really want to thank Relic when they dropped these at the same time as the massive Comet push.
Cheese and win: not checked, may have something to do with legendary Elefant commander and a PAK43 |
some say he is the best coh2 player to have ever graced the earth
all we know is, he is called lmctx
The Stig wants his mojo back.........

stuff....
And would it really harm the usability of stealth to limit it to only working while stationary?
The stealth is a compensation for the raketen being the worst AT gun in the game. I'd gladly trade it for a Pak40 when playing OKW. It misses a lot, seems to take a long time to aim, and has a shorter range than most AT guns. I'm pretty sure that most recon skills make it visible but haven't tested all of them. The radio beacons from IR pathfinders or regular pathfinders show them on the mini-map. The only time I've really been annoyed with them was when playing UKF and trying sim-city, and I'll bet that they were a lot more annoyed with sim-city than I was with the raketen.
I could see giving engineers or RE's a little longer detection range if counterplay is really needed. |
That is lmcxt
lmcxt? |
I think that the proper nerf for it would be decreasing the accuracy slightly on the concentration fire ability since the FoW targeting is the whole gimmick of the ability and is what makes it worth 100 muni and an ability slot, as otherwise it's just an expensive version of the infantry thrown coordinated fire.
I did not know you could do that with priests and that's really OP. You could just have one priest crew and rotate it between priests to have all vet3 priests and pretty much constant arty fire in bigger teamgames when you start getting fuel out the ass.
Any ideas for discussion about how to make the valentine worthwhile without maphax? I would vote making it a better anti infantry unit, reducing its cp cost, and/or making the vet ability ignore cool downs and/or include base howitzers in exchange for removing the maphax. Or maybe a recon run ability. All just ideas off the top of my head.
Or maybe just leave it alone. Having most of the abilities be worthless keeps this commander from being part of the meta, and the last thing this game needs is more indirect. |
