Puma isn't a early unit but a mid-game one, so you should be right.
You can also play smart and have a sturmpio minesweeper opening his path instead of rushing the M20 like you do with you koningkubel.

Hi guys, I just wanted to know what would be your strategy around this commander vs Ost and OKW in a 1vs1 or 2vs2 situation. I know this commander hasn't any big heavy tanks neither shock troops but I found it quite interesting to play. I have try T1 to T4, a kind of mix cons+penal+sniper+M3 to hold the ground and a direct T4 with all the fuel I can have from the supply drops. Finishing with a mix of sherman + T85 and a kat behind. And cons with their repair kit. I found it quite successful. Not relying only on shock to do the job is a bit more harder but since all you have doesn't cost you an arm to maintain, you can reasonably spam everything, just keep your sniper squad alive. I have heard about a T1+T2 into sherman spam, it can be a good combo and I will probably try it my next game. My only concerns is the M5 not upgradable without T3, I don't really understand why but still the unit performs well as support fire + reinforcement squad mobile center Any tips you know? A particular BO you are using successfully? |

USF vs OStheer: mg + lmg spam is still a issue with how works lmg. Otherwise, it's pretty much balanced. USF vs OKW: OKW has better early game and if the player doesn't screw up his advantage can transition in a fast PUMA / Ober + Luch and its almost gg. USF spend his all game trying to fulfill the gap until it's too late and daddy's big tiger hit the field. I have been watching some USF/OKW games and I have seen funny things that make me thing OKW in good hands would never lose vs USF. My last hope for USF is that Relic redesigns that faction with AA. If not, I'll probably going to play Sov a lot more. In: COH2 Balance |

To me, "nearby" means I usually finish any of my game with Vet3 Major - or he dies vet2 vet3 on the way. This officer is imo the best of the 3. I guess you have to make some tries to figure out, on each map, where is the best hole to place it regarding front lines and shock points. -Barrage and fake barrage are really good last defense stands if you are pushed. Red smokes well placed in a blob path will make your opponent retreat in 80% of cases. -Retreat point with an ambulance next to it behind your line is just the best way to keep pressurize your opponent and make sure you're not losing ground too fast vs OKW. -Lockdown comes naturally if you play well. Tips: Since the ambulance is a horror to move, you can swap the drivers with RE, and move the medics in the field to heal your squad defending a point and you don't really want to move them right now to heal/resupply when your Major location become too obvious - MOVE IT!! You're maybe right, I don't know. But as you said, back in vCoh, it happened really sporadically when now, in Coh2, I'm lucky if I don't have any of my squad wiped in one shot per game lasting more than 15 minutes. So there is a average between both situation and would be great to figure out where do we want to place this curser. And we could also come back to vCoh concept of squad wipe: really rare. I would like to add that squad wipe isn't an issue in a game where veterancy isn't that important. But in Coh2, like in vCoh, having a full vetted squad dying in one shot isn't competitive at all. It is maybe fun and provide more substance to drama but it isn't competitive. Competition means rules, means limits, means a frame surrounding what we want in and what we want out. It also means fair and balance for all parties. So now, take the wipe squad concept and see if it enter in the frame or if it is out. In: Lobby |

RNG is one thing, wiping a squad by RNG is something different from RNG. The idea is not to have or not have RNG but put a limit of RNG impact. Example: A unit with more than XX% of his life cannot be OS by anything, whatever the damage level originally dealt. So you have RNG as the damage source will randomly deal damage, but you control the limit of the damage. About E-sport itself, Coh2 has clearly be design far away from any competitive thought. Automatch system emptier of ranking board system is the best demonstrator of fact. Couple of months earlier they decided to turn 180 degree and look for e-sport, I'll be cynical but I'm ready to bet they took that decision after looking a Dota2 Compendium cash prize pool and the big profit Valve did with it. I guess they can turn again 180 degree when they'll cold down their mind and see the true in where they are and what they have to accomplish to be somewhat attractive for ESL. In: Lobby |

I would have really like to enjoy this game, really... but sadly the balance factor and silence from Relic took my patience away. So stupid I'm to like this game that I try to play it every time I have a bit of time to spend. So this is it, uninstalled so I'm sure tomorrow I'm not going to try again and hope for a good and funny game that will never come, I'm not going to wait for Relic longer. In fact I had more fun ready your quote wars and balance battle in this forum than in game. Hope one day a patch will come, but not for me. Today I played good number of team games with fellow TAB bears, playing as USF the at guns are sufficient enough to counter all axis Armour. If more at is needed a jackson in support does wonders. USF is fine as is and can counter axis armour no problem. If your axis opponent goes heavy amounts of tanks why not counter with zooks and at guns for german tanks were built to counter tanks not inf. Please quit with the whining and complaining about Axis as op, you obviously were not here for the alpha nor the very beginnings of CoH2. Yesterday a played a good number of 1vs1 game as USF and I face every time the situation when half of my M36 shot and ATgun shots where bouncing over Panther front armor. It isn't like I could have flank him since he was flanking me, a really good move A+move his Infantry in front of my line and panther to flank. His objective was my too powerful Scott, I'm waiting for the Relic nerf - this unit is to good, it can kill Obers. Anyway. 1st M36 shot max range, on the ground. Panther come closer, 1st Panther shot - 1/3 of my m36 life away. I try to withdraw the M36 but guess what, the panther is faster. So I managed to reposition my Atgun at the same time to shot at it. 2nd M36 shot, medium range - bounce. 2nd Panther shot = 2/3 of the M36 life away. 1st Atgun shot medium range + buff pen bounced. 3rd M36 shot, close range - 1/5 of Panther life away, 3rd Panther shot = byebye M36. 2nd Atgun shot close range + Buff pen = Bounce!!! The panther goes behind the Atgun and chase the Scott, 2 shots the scott (it was defending the front line) dead. The panther goes away but I manage with luck - nothing else than luck at this stage - to Atnade it and damage his engine, from the rear I finally manage to kill the Panther with my Atgun. Second round couple of minutes later, exact same scenario but I don't have the luck of having a critical engine damage with an Atnade. 1 Jackson dead 1 Atgun dead 1 Scott dead, 3/4 of my Infantry dead, 1 Panther 3/5 life Up.
