Thread: Ladder Jump (big jump)7 Sep 2015, 07:48 AM I wasn't paying much attention to my playcard since Brit release, Just checked this morning and see that I have jump to 335 as USF 1vs1 without playing them since that date. I was around 800 before I think. So 500 USF sleeping players. I'm also out of the ladder as Sov 1vs1 since I didn't play them since long time. It is going to be interesting to compare e-dicks now (mine is bigger, always!). Many players were using a card with stats old from many patchs, sometime from the faction release, to teach you how to play it today using nice talk like: L2P, check my stat bro!! When they get their easy victories and Ladder position with early knowledge from Alpha and abused easy cheesy strat or OP unit before nerf vs newbies players. In: Lobby

Thread: Bofors needs a nerf against infantry7 Sep 2015, 07:26 AM Actually I punish any type of emplacement with a Mortar HT + 40 ammo, but that reduce my experience to 1 commander (I probably need to buy some other with the unit, probably Relic conspiracy to make me buy stuff) After all if a Bofor is able to insta kill any infantry in range + light vehicles. It is fine to think any emplacement can be insta-kill by a mortar HT isn't it? same skill level is required. In: COH2 Balance

I just try different approaches with Ostheer avoiding the obvious sniper because it is to me a real cheesy strat. And I also don't agree that Ostheer mortar is countered by brit ones. Sometime it does, but I have been mostly successful. The idea was to share impression on how perform units vs Brit. In: COH2 Gameplay

Thread: Brit PoV from Ostheer side in 4vs44 Sep 2015, 16:03 PM I don't own the Brit myself, I played them during the Alpha. I'm not an Axis Fanboi, my stats can demonstrate but since yesterday I decided to play Ostheer for a while till the Brit hype get a bit down. I just want to share some impressions, I have been playing mainly 4vs4. they are purely directed vs brit since my opinion is also Ostheer vs Sov or USF is well balanced actually. 1- It is better to build asap a mortar, Ostheer mortar is in my opinion the best overall counter to brit, early - mid and late game (late game except vs armored stuff) 2- Not more than 1 MG42, they are too squishy vs brit. Of course they do their job by pinning but you lose them really fast because of their long setup - unsetup delay. You have to hit retreat button before half-life in many situations if you don't want to lose them. 3- Wasp is a really cheesy unit. it can unpop a squad in a house before you hit the exit button, to put in relation with point 2. A MG42 in a building is a dead unit if a wasp is at range. 4- I can't find a place for the 222, wasp has a big range and you must take a lot of risk to chase it down . 5- AEC 2 shots a full health 222. You can't escape an AEC with your 222. I don't think a Stuart 2 shots a 222 or a M20 is 2 shot by a Puma. I would consider 3 shots is correct. Only 2 shots is the kind of situation Relic wanted to remove from the game. 6- Panther is definitively not a meta unit vs Brit. I have been using them a lot and they just don't perform at all vs Brit. What I mean is Panthers have strength and weakness. And from what I have experienced, Brit simply negate completely its strength while they also completely deal on its weakness. 7- Ostheer T3 is meta vs Brit (in 4vs4 at least). Fast Pz4 or Ostwind with Stug and then keep them alive and blob them. 8- Stug perform really really well vs Brit, but you need a P4 or a Ostwind to soak some damage for it. 9- Didn't try Sniper and haven't see anybody abusing vs Brit 10- Ostheer T4 doesn't perform at all in fact vs Brit. You assemble the supposed "hardcounters" such as artillery as Axis player. And all the opponent has to do is press one button and is almost immune. This is bad gameplay and horrible design. Brace forces a huge investment for the Axis player into artillery, which then does´t even work. The British player is rewarded for sitting around on one place. One would think Lelic had learned their lesson from Coh1. But alas Cancer-Brits are back. Edit: I wonder whether that shit can survive a railway artillery strike. Its only OP if you don't know what the counter is. Artillery isn't a counter to Brace since Brace is the counter to artillery ... What counter Brace is a permanent source of damage like mortars. You always attack it with your mortar, the Brit will have 2 options: 1- Using brace and he can't fire back. What does it means? you can attack freely with your stuff since Brace disable the emplacement. 2- not using brace and repairing the emplacement. Vs a mortar it is really costly, he can always have an engineer squad wiped during the process (remember that they receive extra damage while repairing) and at the end you'll finish destroying the emplacement. Thread: How to counter UKF Bofors?4 Sep 2015, 15:26 PM Mortar is really good since Brit will have to repair it, free XP and potential squad wipe on engineers. Use attack ground for a while, you can see when he uses Brace, wait 30 seconds and use barrage. repeat. In: Ostheer Strategies
