Mortar from T1 softcounter the bofors. it forces brit to permanently repair the bofors, same with its barrage ability which barely kill a mortar or you've been sleepy. Next nothing in T2 can face the bofors except pak outrange it. Then T3 Stugs rape bofors for breakfast. build 2 of them and you counter 90% of brit late game units. build M20 and lean to use it. Learn pfaust range, learn volks shreck range, learn smoke hotkey, learn to create ideal condition to flank sniper. Sometime it is better to retreat a bit to let the Axis overextend and flank him. I'm not saying that like usual L2P but more do it again until you succeed. Ostheer doesn´t need puma to kill Stuart. They have pfaust + Pak + 222. OKW have Raken + pfaust + HT or Puma or Luch. Ostheer = pak (high range) + 4men gren pfaust + low damage output 222 OKW = raken (low range but camo) + 5men volk pfasut + high damage output Luch or Puma. Something everyone seems to forget is OKW is getting HMG34 from T1 and HMG42 from 2 doctrines. This means: easy lockdown flanks, better territory control, forcing opponent to flank more etc... What OKW loses in AT department OKW wins in AI department. You'll need less volks to control your territory while still keeping OKW push ability with Sturm and Kubel. I have some mitigated feeling about OKW getting stock HMG and losing shrecks, in a way OKW is losing its identity. But since this identity is full of craps and spam, it is definitively better to change it. Same if this means having something bit more similar than Ostheer, both Faction remains vastly different. OKW winrate is in bad shape mainly because the faction received a huge buff 6 months ago. OKW ELO is inflated till then. I´m always baffled when I play vs Ostheer and next vs OKW, the skill gap between players really high. So it is normal today OKW receives the deserved adjustement to make the faction balanced. I´m not saying what is currently presented is the best idea, I have my own opinion on it, but at least it draws a path to be explored. In a way, you are right in your conclusion, OKW winrate will drop till players get back to their real ELO position. People will have to adapt and do decision making in their BO - as the faction was aimed to be played before but broken due to the resource penalty not providing enough flexibility. Now they´ll have more flexibility and decision making to apply which is valuable for the game environment. In: Lobby |
