Thread: How can you stand usf.4 Jun 2018, 20:20 PM Most of the major issues comes from USF tech, you either get all the AI or all the AT, saying "get zooks" wont fix the kiting and really isn't the best choice as an AT gun or Stuart is more effective. IMO: we should move around the 50.cal and the USF 56mm and swap their techs, either that or move it into t0 and lock them behind T1/t2 upgrade. Possibly reduce major cost so nades could be an optional purchase in 2v2 and lets see how it works. Otherwise USF tech is really the issue, it has the tools just never the choices to get an MG and an AT gun in a 2v2+, its railroaded into captain with no capabilities for suppression, never has enough fuel to buy nades and if you do get nades you are set back two mins back in tech. USF resource starved to the max which is why its so punishing to play. In: Lobby
Thread: Does 4vs4 deserve more attention from relic? (CoH3?)1 Jun 2018, 05:03 AM Imo the best spot to balance for would be the idea of the game being primarily a 2v2 sort of game. 2v2 requires both skill and teamwork from both sides and combines a fair amount of elements of 1v1 and larger team game formats. Suggestions for years have been caps on units, popcap, and splitting resources to account for a larger team game format. The problem would be the "where is the fun if all I do is control a smaller army and have less work". The fix to that would be more incentive for a teamplay game or to interlink those systems together. Games like World In Conflict did stuff like having each player control an aspect of the armies, TW arena (while a bad example in my opinion) does the same thing by splitting the 20 unit army into a team of 10. From coH3 I wouldn't just like to see CoH balanced for 4v4 but rather to see coH as a team game that requires both coordination and tactics from its players. In: COH2 Gameplay

No love for USF and Solvs A change that would keep most of this fixed would be to keep Sturmpios the same but scale their mid and late game use. To do this, reducing their weapons to early mp40s might not be a bad idea with an STG upgrade. We could then change their vet higher up the line (vet 3+) to allow them to scale. As it stands however, Sturmpios can be a devastating unit and can hold off two squads in the early game, throw in a kubla and a volks squad and OKW will have the map captured due to how combat effective they are and how fast they can cap the map. Yes that's a wonderful way of again making OKW t2 completly unviable on a garrison map because none of the T2 units can clear worth a damn. Then people will start bitching about LeIG spam again because it'll be the only viable way to clear garrisons. TBH thats what USF goes through for the most part with their 25 fuel for tech and 30 muni per nade..... not saying that is shouldn't happen but its present in other factions I guess. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Give OKW flame nade a tech cost?30 May 2018, 00:47 AM Jump back to quoted post29 May 2018, 19:08 PMthedarkarmadillo how wouldn't it? volks had the stick frag to begin with but was changed to a flame nade to make up for the leig being complete pond trash. thats not the case anymore. swapping it to stums and making volks get the flame nades with firestorm seems logical for both flavor and balance. IMO the flame nade does more than what most people give it credit, not only does it dislodge players positions but it can also negate a push b/c it can effectively block covered potions while the STGs tear into units that simply cant get to the cover b/c flames. Switching this to frag would mean that area denial wouldn't be a thing but would instead make them a better assault troop with high burst damage with the nade and STGs. In: COH2 Balance
