Or are you talking about 1v1 only? Which wouldnt make sense either cuz a unit doesnt need to be useful in all 4 modes

See post #15 in this thread. You've simultaneously claimed the Tiger I both deals more damage than the Panzer IV and that it deals less damage than the Panzer IV.
You've also not cited a single source for your claims.
I am quoting my sources: Cruzz's stats, accurate to the Spring Balance Patch this year, and the official CoH 2 changelog.
If two units had the same performance last Spring and their performance hasn't changed then their performance is still the same.

That's not true. T85 has muchanged better aoe than piss cannon called t76. It wipes models with every shot while t76 misses most of ther time.
Comet also has better aoe than Cromwell and the while phosphorus rounds fuck with AT guns like does big dog with small.
So far I haven't been able to do the same with Cromwell.
You're comparing apples to cinnamon.
P4 is medium generalist and Tiger is heavy generalist. It is literally supposed to be P4 on steroids (except speed).
More comparable would be Sherman to Perching.
And as we all know Pershing is miles ahead of the Sherman in every way. The same cannot be said about Tiger.
Comet and Cromwell AI are almost identical, but Cromwell RoF is a LOT faster with vet.
Cromwell is just a much more reliable tank to kill inf

The Tiger has less DPS than the P4. FULL STOP.
Yet you forgot to mention that Tiger cost is roughly same as 2 P4s so it should have comparable DPS to 2 of them combined. Yet it is barely better than 1 panzer by 30% or so.
Once against twisting facts.
Tiger is not even barely better, because against 2 P4 (the same fuel cost) it's outperformed by a great margin.

What are 2 P4s doing when they engage a ISU 152 and bounce 50% of their shots? Then they do 0 damage Z-E-R-O.
You cant compare the DPS of both tanks shooting at a T70, because you will have lots of targets with decent armor that the P4 will just die to - ISU152, IS2, churchills. You will want a tiger in each engagement.
Saying the elefant is bad is just this: bad.
It has 70 range, use this to your advantage and spot for it. Dont have it in your frontline and it will excel.

I didn't read the thread, but i don't think the statements are true. Tiger is in a weak position atm, but in some situations and maps it can still be a monster.

Only real scenario i have ever chosen to take elefant in 1v1 is either a: soviet player that plays particurally passively with is 2 or kv 2, just sitting and guarding point while supporting it with at guns and other shit that would make diving it way to risky or B: brit is spamming churchills (for some weird reason)

Elephant is so bad I only see it 9 out of 10 games in 2vs2.
Tiger might be a bit weak now, but it's in no way bad, people just throw it at the enemy and hope it wins alone.
