Care to remember us why 2men Soviet squad sniper was nerf? And now 4men squad sniper is ok.

Snipers can fire with impunity from the safety of 50 range, behind a wall of other units.

JLI with 35 range have to be within enemy small arms fire range (35) in order to deal damage themselves.

They are not comparable.

Are you nerfing or buffing JLI? Getting 2 snipers at 50% crit is stronger than 1 at 70%... especially with that 0.9 cover bonus

No it's not. 2 snipers at 50% is definitely a step down from 1 sniper at 70%, especially since (I think?) the kar98k has more raw dps than the g43 without accounting for the crit. If the .9 cover accuracy stayed, it'd be a little less so, but a) it should really get removed and b) it still has kind of bad dps and it'd be critting at a much lower threshold.

by ur logic pathfinder should be the bane of the game, they are not, cause u don't understand how crit threshold works

70% starts snowballing quicker and that is where the power comes. It rapidly drops incoming enemy firepower and increases focus fire from your own squad which increases the chance of a particular model dropping below the threshold....

2x at 50% would be powerful in conjunction with explosives but 70% is incredibly powerful for firefights just because of how little damage is actually required

They have had a 70% crit threshold for the last 5 years and it's never been a problem.

They also were more expensive thereofre less spammable and cover actually wasn't ignored, allied infantry was also more potent.
Problem was not there back then.

As katitof said, they are more accessible than ever.. AND better. You used to PAY for that 70% crit. It's now cheaper than volks with STGs. Something being one way for however long doesn't mean shit when other variables change.

It does mean the 70% crit isn't the problem. They are 100% getting a price nerf, they are going back to a similar price as before.

You guys really don't need to be theorycrafting a unit 24/7 on this forum that you don't even know how the stats will be next week.

Obviously they want JLI to be more accessible and an alternative to standard volks spam. Depending on price that might not be an accepted change.
They can't be super accessible and have a 70% crit. They would still be good units and an option with it lowered. Also, when is the last time a unit got ONLY a price nerf? They will apply each and every suggested route to nerf then and then forget about them assuming they follow the trend.

We know the stats NOW and that's why we are here... That's the whole point of this forum. What we have now. And the next patch might not be for 6 months for all we know, that is more or less the patch cycle and JLI are fairly game breaking at this time. Players are upset about it, so hopefully all those players that jumped in when the game was free don't jump out while we wait for a patch and stagnate the numbers again.
