Serious question here: Did any of these crazy things cause people to stop playing the game?

I started playing later and the player base was probably close to where it is now. Would COH2 have a much larger player base without these missteps?

I think the worst thing when I started was Penal Flame blobs. To me the game feels like it is finally in a good place (except snipers, f'ing hate snipers).

Curious if the game is retaining more players now than it did before.

the katyusha rockets that have 160 dmg.
the mortars that suppress.
the soviet arts with precision strike.
the ptrs that snipes mgs.
the shrecks that blow up infantry.
the scoped 222 that lights up the entire map.
the 100 range elephant, iron hard from rear.
the 40 range infantry thanks to command p5.
the turbo mode vet3 su85.



every patch a new game.

Back old 120 mortar, it was real challenge to play vs this doc and unit, when i win, its happens, i feel like i save axis world.

most people that left were whiners about the commander system (which actually makes the game more diverse)

Pfff, that was nothing.
If you spawn as USF at bottom you would lose if the OKW player would abuse this strat.
-Send SwS truck to suicide towards the left bridge/cut off position and leave horizontally.
-Send SP to ghost barbwire the east bridge.

Congrats, you completely block the USF player from moving outside it's base.

Twp was a full stun.
270 mp penals were "perfectly balanced" and not used at all.
Weapon teams just tanked the "damage" of the mollie.....
When al soviet at bounced all over the place.
Soviet mortar actualy hitting anything.
People suggesting the deathloop was ok.
People defending the volks shreck blob, they have snare.... no snare was needed.
