How to use the Sturmtiger now?

Since the Sturmtiger had both its range and ability to shoot through structures removed, has anybody found an effective way to use it?

I feel like it's important to have Elite Armoured as a 1v1 commander because the HEAT rounds are about the only way to penetrate an IS-2 from the front in my experience, but unless I am already dominating I never get a Sturmtiger. They are forced to reveal themselves in almost every situation now, but still have a laboriously long aim time. Can they do anything to an opponent that isn't completely micro taxed?

your oponentn must be blind/ dumb or focused on other thing, if you could manage to be effective with this slow , non turrent long aiming thing...

it has to less range, is to slow and aim to long to would be good...

U could try to get dubble isg to spam smoke and obstruct los of a blob and then shoot in to the smoke. But i haven't tried this strat yet.

maybe its ok to camp a VP which you hold and the enemy try to capture it..or you troll around vs noobs

Using it against weapon crews in general would be the best idea.
Another one already aforementioned would be overwatching VPs.
I can also think of using ISG smoke to move it closer for a bigger surprise, now that OKW does have smoke as well.
It still have the range needed to actually pull an accurate shot, contrary to AVRE, which is just moving AT vet block.

Maybe it's 'cause the Axis players aren't a bunch of forum crybabies, and they keep their cool and fight the uphill battle, unlike some of their "allied" counterparts.

Clearly Sturmtigers are meant to counter emplacements kappa. I do wish they had fixed Elite Armor instead of Firesturm... HEAT Rounds are SO useful (especially against Comets when they were OP) but the rest of the commander is pretty much trash.

Added bonus is the horrendous/buggy accuracy of ST and Avre. Like half of their shots end up being way to short and totally missing the target. Not sure what´s up with that.

If you push R hotkey (default, non-grid keys hotkey) and the left click (by default) on the map, the Sturm Tiger will fire.

That is how you use it.

its has aweful shot height...i seen replays where it cant shot above a AA ht ...it hits the own verhicle and the blobb was laughing about this shit unit.
